Thanks for replying Pops, i know for sure that i had the stop/fuel set right, made sure after making the mistake of racing with a full tank in the midweek fun race. But was wondering...do i have to let the pit crew know i'm coming in with the official keyboard button (8 or 9?) even though they've told me i'm running low on fuel and have already got a pre-programmed stop ? Could that be making them think its an un-scheduled stop and therefore filling me up ? ps i'll do my best to make the div 2 race next week, got the bug for this online competitive (and clean) racing.

Could that be making them think its an un-scheduled stop and therefore filling me up ? Interesting question... I always thought not, but there was some suggestion in another thread on these boards that it might make a slight difference but there wasn't a definative agreement on the answer. I've not tried it (letting them know I'm coming in) so "I'm not sure" is the answer! ps i'll do my best to make the div 2 race next week, got the bug for this online competitive (and clean) racing. Sweet! (Sorry if you already know this but) most people take either the 360 or the GT3 in the NGT class so if you are up for a bit of practising you might want to try one of those two. The 360 is generally considered to be slightly easier to drive for an hour. Pops.

Pops, i guess i'll have to try it next time and see if it makes a difference then report my findings, though if anyone else knows or tries this in the meantime, please let us know. As for NGT, i have mainly raced a porschecup season so far in GTR so will probably run a Porker as i'm familiar with it, even though the 360's seem a safer beast on the track...makes it more rewarding to beat them ! To race a GT3, i take it i choose a RS Porsche? as i think i picked a normal 911 in the fun race the other night and it came up as a G3...and was way off the pace of the other NGT's. ps those NGT legends avatars (signatures) look fantastic.

I was all set to do that in the 90 min Spa race but totally forgot... I refuse to comment further before the GT3 v's 360 flame wars erupt again (kidding!) To race a GT3, i take it i choose a RS Porsche? as i think i picked a normal 911 in the fun race the other night and it came up as a G3...and was way off the pace of the other NGT's. Yup - 911 GT3 RS is yer man. ps those NGT legends avatars (signatures) look fantastic. They are fab! I have PaulW's l33t crayon-monkey skillz to thank Pops

Yup - 911 GT3 RS is yer man. There are several GT3 Porsches - most are GT3 RS and they're NGT, there's also the GT3 Cup which is a G3 class car and is absolutely horrid.

There were quite a few NGT regulars missing last night. Picnic, Don, Paul and Glen to name a few.
I may consider changing to NGT next season for Endurance as there are plenty of GTs.
Next season I plan to switch to GT, as it may be my last season with GTR before say rF (hoping)

Hi Dave My brakes and tyres were really bad. If I got off line or tried to alter my rythum at all (ie when being lapped the back brakes were locking or if I put bias on the front it took about half a mile to slow down. I think I will try the BMW another time as I had only 5 wing max revs and low gearing but you still pi**ed past me on the straights. anyway it was good fun. Something strange happened with the old scoring as the gap to the car in front varied by up to 1 min per lap.bye for now gerald ps there were a lot of marbles off line?

I think that was more down to me getting really good exits off the corners in comparison - I noticed during the early laps that I was much faster off the last and first turns than Greg too, pity I couldn't keep it on the black stuff. Something strange happened with the old scoring as the gap to the car in front varied by up to 1 min per lap.
Yeah, I was getting that too, I think there were some GT and NGT runners going off even more often than me (yes, David Yates, I mean you! ) and it was confusing the timings. ps there were a lot of marbles off line?
They were very noticable - I think those long constant radius corners sucker you out there thinking you can let somebody by in the turn and then you find it's a tad slippery.
