CONFIRMED - THIS RACE WILL TAKE PLACE TONIGHT

Problems connecting to the Lobby? Download this:

All members welcome.

Practice 1: 19:15 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30 (23 laps ~50mins) note: no warmup!

Cars allowed: GT40 Gulf/MK2, Porsche 906-8/e/6, Porsche 911 RSR 3L, Cobra 427 (This will not be a clubmans style event)

Weather: Dry
Start Time of Day Setting: 12:00
Start: STANDING

Minimum Pit-stops: None.

Server: [PnG2.1] UKPnG Fun
Password: see above

General Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced.
(5) Remember that P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function, but our gentleman's agreement is that everyone will stick to a speed limit for the pit-lane of 40mph/60kph.

Does this help?
NOTE - THIS RACE WILL ONLY TAKE PLACE IF THE GTL LOBBY PROBLEMS PERSIST
 Wink

Being one of the default tracks in GTR2, hopefully it's one people are relatively familier with.

If anyone is feeling generous, a setup or two online might be good as I guess several of us may jump on with little or no practice (need to have a run out at Long Beach GTL if I have time tonight...just in case the race takes place).   Smiley  Never driven any of these cars.

I think that the P&G (GTR2) online setups have been out of action for about a month, just hangs when you try to access.
I was having a blast in the 911 3L last night (1:58's) & I can recall most of what I did to my setup if that might help?

911 RSR 3L
Rear ride height = up on click
Coast Diff = down to 20%
Gears = Longer by two clicks
Front toe = 0.0
Front ARB = Decreased a click or two
Front Springs = Down about three clicks
Front Rebound = down a couple of clicks
Rear ARB = Decreased a click or two
Rear springs = up one click
rear bump = up two clicks
Rear toe = +0.1

Think that was about it. Felt good to me anyway Grin

I'll be online practicing this tonight (8:45pm+) unless I can suddenly & miraculously get on the GTL server.

ooh, missus is working late tomorrow eve so may unexpectedly be able to make this one  Smiley

lets hope that GTL server stays broken  Wink

I bet the RSR is great fun around here, though the GT40 will destroy everyone down that long old straight.

The Gulf will destroy all other cars here (in the wrong hands Wink), but I doubt doing that would be of interest to the top drivers in a fun run.

RSR 3L was a bit slower then the others down the straight, but as you know... it loves to corner Cool

Unfortunately, some of us will have another test for an Italian champ of P&G, but Lele is free and probably he will be here for this one. Cu for the next in Edmonton!

Thanks Chris, I think it would be rude not to try the RSR after you've put all those settings down.  Smiley

Nooo, pull up a Cobra Steve and join me in some synchronised ballet Smiley Masses of understeer off the power, masses of oversteer on it - what more could you want?

Check the SROU folder online for loads of setups - it's the only way I get by!

Please do check, but I think online setups are disappointingly still unavailable  Undecided
