Well that was great in parts, painfull in others Had trouble with brake bias all practice, thought it was about right, but after a few laps the back was all over if I braked hard, seemed to rememember that brake bias was [ and ] so drove with keys on lap trying to keep up a good pace, got in Manteos' way with my variable braking, he spun once to avoid me, so after a while I pulled over to let him past, and see if I could change brakes, maybe did not sure but as I came onto the S/F straight I put the keyboard back on top of the PC only to press " + " apparently this jumps you into the car in front had no idea what I had pressed as the PC is above head height, so driving blind, turned slightly right and braked.... when I finally figured out what had happened I was sat on the grass in 13th. got going again, had some fun chasing but got stuck behind Kobayashi in a yank tank went off with dodgy brakes and no room to maneouver, finally passed, and almost got past a jag in the final section, but he lost it a bit, and had to lift to avoid, ah well, mostly a fun one. Great track for this league, well done chaps.

Didn't think it was going to be that good but oh boy I was really wrong about that. Hat's off to you Chris, that was almost the close racing nirvana you've been seeking, racing gold mate, racing gold.
Sorry to the folk I rubbed, tapped and variously abused but I'm not used to company and you were all perfect gentlemen and carried on regardless. If you feel a telling off is in order please don't hold back. In my defence I'll just say that my idea off close racing is seeing the next car in front outlined on the horizon.
Witnessed some really pleasing driving and Lazlow giving back the lead to Pribeiro really summed up for me the very essence of what we strive for in SROUK.

great fun that was Didnt expect anything results wise as only downloaded the track at 8.10pm ! and had never done a lap here before and ive just spent a week on a beach in paradise Took the Transam mustang as didnt have any time to try out another car. It felt okay but a real barge in the tighter corners. Race was a real battle, never got higher than 16th but was stuck in a position changing fight with about 5 cars for most of the race. Got tapped around a couple of times by over enthusiastic Alpine drivers but otherwise good clean fun. I also boinked Ligel twice, first one my fault, 2nd he appeared to almost stop mid track well before the next set of corners and i thumped him up the jacksy hard but sorry anyway. Fell off twice costing me places..almost as much time lost as being stuck behind Poodle for half a lap tonight how slow was that car in the corners ?!! Great track, we must use that again, it seemed to allow for plenty of overtaking and side slides.

Another great mix of cars/track tonight and some excellent hard fought racing Felt quietly confident about the race as the 4 speed E-Type felt great round here; just the right ratios as opposed to the 5 speed which for me seemed to be inbetween all the time. Had it handling well and made few mistakes....until the lights went out of course Had some close battles with Matt, Manteos and Tim all in different cars and all stronger/weaker in different parts of the track which made it really enjoyable. Might have sneaked a couple more places had it not been for my grass cutting excursions, but happy to finish top 10. Congrats to pody and bring on Riverside!

I enjoyed that! The first few laps were hectic, with some bumps and nudges, lost a few places... but made good use of the Cobra's grunt to get the places back. Spent most of the race trying to chase Ade down, but I just couldn't catch him and with Goldtop breathing down my neck which made it interesting at the end when trying to lap 4 cars that were racin' hard, but got safely through! Had some close battles with Matt, Manteos and Tim all in different cars and all stronger/weaker in different parts of the track which made it really enjoyable. Might have sneaked a couple more places had it not been for my grass cutting excursions, but happy to finish top 10.
You gave me a scare after one of your wild excursions! But you just got the car back just as I passed! Phew Nice track Legzy, I thought the track would be dull but was fun & challenging

What a shame... after the 3rd or the 4th tap I give this evening, at the last corner of the last lap I decided to throw my self into the grass to cut the finish line... but for the game I didn't pass the finish line, and then the result is a last place... I was a bit angry beacause it was too difficult to fight with such a different car, and even if I was faster on pace, Jose kept me behind him for the last 6-7 laps, giving me more than a second on the straight, and remainig blocked on the best driving line. I had to try something dangerous to overtake him in the first part of the track, because I knew that I had to put a margin of more than 1 second to avoid to be passed again on the straight, but there were no chances due to the "extreme defense" of Jose. Anyway I had some good fight with someone of you before to arrive to Jose, and even the duel with Goldtop and Matt Rowe was very interesting but I had the same troubles as the battle with Jose. Once you get passed with the Alpine, you are dead in this circuit ... I had to wait their mistakes to overcome both drivers. And then I arrived early to Jose, but you already know this story Finally, what can I say...I'm an idiot! I was a bit nervous, and I excuse with Jose for the 2 tap and Goldtop for another tap, but that was the only way to have some chances of a better result with such a different car. Anyway the least i could do was to wait you every time I made a mistake, and I hope that was fair enough for you . See you for the last battle with a great head on head between Lele and Lalzow (same tokens and same points ...unbelievable), but with a richer driver as Legzy, and another Monster driver as Paul, that will surely be ready to take advantage of any mistakes of the 2 contenders! Great stuff! Get ready for the final round! CU

Fantastic evenings racing - probably my best since PnG started. Spent most of my time battling away with MJ and Poodle (who I'd normally only see when they lap me) and yes there were a few taps but that's racing in close company. Tend to agree with MJ in that a couple of the Alpine drivers were a tad aggressive at time, but I guess that's youth. Anyway I have no complaint and as said earlier I had a fantastic 22 laps.
Congratulations to the podium and heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to a great night.
To Legzy and Tony: I have said it before "You are doing a great job running the show" I raise my hat to you.

Why I can't find more than an hours practice time in 2 weeks is really starting to grate! :'( Quickly tried the Stang but was a bit slow, jumped in the z06 and was immediately quicker so tried to fine tune that. Qualified 18th but made up loads of places at the start. At one point there was 5 of us in a close battle round corner after corner! That was good fun! After that, my lack of pace and tyre wear saw me go backwards :'( Nothing I could do about it!
Obviously a good race for most and I did have some close racing at the start so no complaints! Lack of practice always equals lack of race enjoyment! How many times I have to learn that same old lesson, I don't know!
Thanks all
M.

You gave me a scare after one of your wild excursions! But you just got the car back just as I passed! Phew Yes, that was a close one Tim - I just managed to skew it at the wrong time. Send me the laundry bill Finally, what can I say...I'm an idiot! I was a bit nervous, and I excuse with Jose for the 2 tap and Goldtop for another tap, but that was the only way to have some chances of a better result with such a different car. I was keeping it tight into the corners so it was always going to be difficult to pass.

It is a joy and brilliant, these different car power/handle/physics races. Just like the 60's and 70's spirit. Those drivers in those ages must had lots of fun undoubtedly. My car choice was a bit a shot in the dark. My first races strategy was sparing Tokens, now I can spend a bit and it reflects the final results. It's fun because after 4 races I was in 20th and now I jumped to 9th. Thank you master Legzy and master Tony. Both GTL and P&G has been very enjoyable. No time to practice (dinner time as usual, can we start a bit later next seasons, pleeeeeeeease?) After 3 qualifying laps I got a decent 6th place, which gave me confidence to achieve first corner a few places ahead due to Cobra's power. It went well as I was in 2nd after 1st corner. In fact, Lazlow allowed me to reach that place without fighting. From there, I was following Tibernius and defending from Lazlow and Jose's Ferrari. Intense battle with all. A few minutes later Tibs went wide and we passed him. I'm not sure, but I guess Lazlow and me were in hard fight for almost 30 minutes of superb fun. Ahhhhh...always with huge fairplay. And I must take my hat off to Lazlow when I spun, when I lapped a backmarker. Lazlow wait for me and gave me back the race lead! Before finish I gave Lazlow the same kindness, I do believe you deserved the win mate. Well done! Gentleman and big fairplay spirit, as has always been at SROUK. Congrats Lazlow and Tibernius for the pole and 3rd place. Cheers

We are unhappy about swear words (albeit disguised) being typed using the games chat facility during a race (if you have a problem, use the incident report system after race) & we are acting on it. SROUK will not tolerate any such decline in our usual high standards, of which you should all be aware.

On a happier note : I jumped in the Mustang TransAM (I recommend this car to anyone for 'a tank you can drive') & qualified pretty well (14th). "Used the force" to gain myself a handful of places & was hanging off the back of Goldtop in 9th for a couple of laps before I managed to put a couple of wheels on the outside kerb as I drifted quite a bit a lot wide & spun her & recovered the 360 immediately (in a dukes of hazard type style maneuver)... I was immediately swallowed up by the close knit chasing pack of Keith, Tim, API & Paul (all of us in a different car to the others) & we went at it for a couple of laps ti it was just Paul & I. Well I used every ounce of muscle the Stang had & blocked where I could, but with each passing lap Paul would get closer & closer to getting ahead & then when he did manage it, he had to fend me off for a couple more laps before I couldn't sustain it any longer Had a couple of laps to rest & recover myself & then Matt started catching me at a couple of seconds a lap & we had a few good laps together with me on maximum defence mode which allowed McFids to catch up & join the party too What a great finish to the race it was as in turn they both slipped past me before the finish line. Great racing all. Congrats to Lazlow on the win, PR for being a true gent & everyone for the variety of cars on the grid. Do you know what... I thought the last race (at Watkins) was brilliant & would be hard to beat, but Mid-America has done it. For me this was our best race to date in PnG land . Can't wait for the Riverside finale.
