Blah Sad Lost connection... Seems to be happening a bit to me now. Was going quite well until then but I guess that's the way it goes. Sorry to Prof who I hit in the pits. In the first stint I had soft/meds on and after 10 laps I was starting to struggle so changed to meds all around at the pitstop and was just starting to push when the connection went  Sad
Hope you all had a good race Smiley

Enjoyed the first 20 min then me stupid car just fell apart, pitted early and it all to quickly the tyres fell off again. The MC12 is fun but just can't compete, in my hands, with its stupidly short performance window. Then run outta gas  laugh

Congrats to runner and riders.

no worries mate, just an unlucky incident Smiley

I had a good car tonight, although I started on a full tank and tried to save tyres in the first stint so I couldn't pull away from Jon. I did a mistake and he went past, but with my strategy I could comfortable leapfrog him in the pits despite the difference in fuel usages laugh

Pitting late also helped me with very fresh tyres in my shortish 2nd stint where I could lap very fast and take another lap record home Tongue

Bad luck, Jon. Sad
Must apologize to Prof, seems I was always on his tail in the Quali, guess I misjudged the speed diff several times. Embarrassed Hope I didn't spoil Q2 for you too much. Sad Was having difficulty getting a clean lap, always someone there (not in the way, just there) and when there wasn't I botched my lap. Angry  A whole second slower than my pb. Sad
Was 9th on the start but made it to 6th when Spanner and H@l had their moments. Wink  Was just driving, biding my time, not trying to be too pesky when lapping GTCs (you were great, guys Cool ), pitted and made another place when Jon had a disco. Towards the end there was sbg again - you have something against the MC12?! How many did you trash this season? Tongue  We were racing closely for a while, Marcos always catching on a straight and MC12 always dancing away throught the twisty parts. What happened on the last lap, sbg? You just veered off - well, I know it wasn't my fault this time. Cheesy

*EDIT: just saw your post, sbg. Well... Undecided *

Grabbed 4th and that is much more than I thought possible after Q2. clap

Grats podys. Smiley

Seems like the Legends team has deserted me. Sad

Sorry to Prof who I hit in the pits.

NP Jon - it was busy with the guy from the stall in front of me leaving and you behind with nowhere to go!

NP TT - The annoying bit was that I started my final qually lap and was 7/10ths up and 50 yds from the line when it went to next session.

Third was my best target tonight with Shark and Jimmie being much faster and I think I achieved that so no harm done. Hats off to you guys for your excellent pace.

Another great result for me, puts me right back into contention with Lazlow for the title.

My qually was fantastic, I could not have gone any faster than that. It was one of those banzai laps where 9 times out of 10 you fall off or get it wrong and you end up going much slower, but managed it and held pole for quite a while. Jimmie then slaughtered that time near the end leaving me second on the grid, but ahead of championship rival Lazlow.

Race went very well. I managed to keep with Jimmie for the first part a few seconds behind with Prof, who by then had taken Lazlow, not too far behind me. I couldn't close on Jimmie and wasn't pulling away from Prof, but Jimmie seemed to have some very scruffy laps and after getting right up his rear-end he made some more errors, was really slow coming out of the hairpin and I zoomed by. Had to keep it altogether then, but the GT1s were then upon us and I made a gap of 5 seconds coming up to the pit stops.

Made another 5 seconds in the pit stops and with some more GT1s passing I pulled it out to 13,14 seconds and it stayed there for the rest of the race.

Of course I was also keeping an eye on Prof's progress throughout the race too (on XD monitor) as we delighted to see him take 3rd place, for a 1-3 team result!

Looks like in GT1 the championship is going down to the wire too, so a fantastic end to the season in store.

What a race Shocked

Was away the whole day (driving a roadrally (sort of, where you have some papers with go left at corner bla so many km'ers away etc.)).
Came back home 21:08 (20:10 UK), joined in and just drove the whole qualy getting used to the car and until I managed the lap I had done yesterday.

Went off from pole, slightly making a gap with Simon, but with 100L of fuel the car was a bit difficult in those fast turn-in-pray-you-make-it-turns.
So after a couple of laps I had 2 cut warnings which forced me to take it easy in the fast turn/chicane (Nurburgring). Then I bumped one of the curbs in last corner which slowed me down and Simon could overtake me. In the first part (the only place where I really gained time) I could out accelerate him but the overtake failed since he had a faster exit out of Adelaide.

Then afterwards I was slowly losing a bit cause I was losing more time with the GT1 cars overtaking me then Simon did (it was my first time driving the slower class of the two so it was kinda getting used to it Grin).
With 6 sec behind we both pitted, guess his car isn't as thirsty as mine, cause he got out with a 11 sec gap. Then it was gaining a bit, losing a bit and so on until the finish (bit of a pitty for me I couldn't close the gap, but it was very exciting nonetheless sweatdrop).

Oh, and first time pole in a SRou race and first time setting lap records  punk clap

I found that hard.

Made a few mistakes and could not keep up with the usual suspects. I got lucky with other peoples problems so I am happy with the result. Smiley

Well done podiums and thanks GTCs. Smiley
