Moderator's Report

A great race that saw some great close racing between large groups of drivers.

A superb performance by Ryeman saw him claw his way back from the lower echelons to go on and win, but will he retain his win?

Clive and John both made the mistake of using magnets as ballast and discovered that opposites attract.

Even last place wasn't decided until the last lap but Mike skilfully held on to it and won another wooden spoon.

Server replay time: 0h06m53s

Natan loses control and gets hit by Ryeman which pushes him off the track.

I think Ryeman sees Natan having difficulty and anticipates him sliding off the track. Natan rescues his slide but is heading towards the inside line when he does and I think still out of control when he gets hit.

I think Jim should have reacted more quickly to avoid Natan and it is his responsibility to avoid a collision.

I've called it a rear end shunt as I don't think it was an intended overtake and Ryemans speed at this point compared to previous laps would also suggest he wasn't attempting a pass.

Race 1.
Offence 1, WARNING given, no penalty
driver has 1 yellow card point
Offence 2, PENALTY given, 2 places lost
driver has 3 yellow card points
Offence 3, WARNING given, no penalty
driver has 4 yellow card points

Race 2.
Offence 1, WARNING given, 1 place lost for previous yellow card points
driver has 5 yellow card points
Offence 2, CAUTION given, no places lost for previous yellow card points
driver has 5 yellow card points
Offence 3, PENALTY given, 2 places lost + 1 extra for the 5 yellow card points = 3 places
driver has 7 yellow card points

Race 3.
Offence 1, WARNING given, 2 places lost for the 7 yellow card points
driver has 8 yellow card points
Offence 2, PENALTY given, 2 places + 3 extra for the 8 yellow card points = 5 places
driver has 10 yellow card points

(Total of 13 places lost)

It may be easier (at least for the footballing fraternity) to think of a red card being equal to 2 yellow cards. Drivers effectively get a yellow card for a warning and a red card for a penalty. Each red card a driver holds amounts to an extra place penalty for subsequent warnings and penalties.

Submit your reports please, surely somebody must report Evil for driving sideways when forwards will do perfectly well.

I only drive sideways so that I am slower and give the rest of you guys a chance Roll Eyes

Yeah, SHE installs special bent wheels on his car so he can't keep a straightline and make the Championship more interesting (and worth running at all). Sometimes SHE goes as far as put on 3 wheels only!  Grin

You should drive more sideways then, so maybe I get a chance as well.  Undecided

Aside from prodding Fulvio's rear wheel in Clubhouse when he got sideways battling with the car infront (allowed him to rejoin in front only for him to be walloped by someone else 1 turn later!)

From watching the replay it would seem that your airbourne adventures after hitting Bartoz were actually me - or at least an amplified me.
I assumed at the time someone else had barreled into us when you took off, as I'd only slid gently into you while the pair of you formed your roadblock  Grin
The replay shows no-one else so I must have managed to fit some extra lag goodness into my hit to send you flying  whistling

Sorry  angel

Np Tim, it wasn't your fault the second tap, on my replay i saw that I hit Bart on my outside drifting on him in the first esse, sorry Bart.
About the first tap at Clubhouse I would have taken more easy if I were you, you had two car ahead battling very close and leaving no room for a smart pass there. You would have me easily on the following straight as you did later in the race. Rye has to thank you for his win, he flew away unscathed and got a good gap to manage till the end, anyway great driving Rye to keep it to the metal till the end. Smiley
My engine bogged down at last lap despite I had babied it avoiding to overrevving , maybe he got some damage in the airbourne or the frequent tows on the straight. I lost two spot crawling to the end  :'(

Before the race I wasn't sure about my racing pace. For last two weeks I was trying to find good setup, but nothing has worked. On Monday evening I remembered myself about Geoff's last season setup. I've tyred it and it worked for me, but I didn't had the time to try it with race fuel.

In qual I couldn't find anybody to give me some tow, so my time was good only for P9.
Thanks to others missfortune at the end of lap 1 I was on P6. On Lap 5 I saw two BRM's spinning into T1. To avoid big crash I've spun my car. Luckily I lost only one position.
I've catch leading group and again thanks to other drivers mistakes I founded myself on P4 at Lap 9.
At that time Ruud was leading with Jethro second and Fulvio third. One lap later Ruud made mistake and I was on P3.
Two laps later I've passed Fulvio in T1 and one lap later Jethro trow him out of the race, leaving me on P1.
I'm still not used to drive as leader(especially when I'm racing with "The Big Boys") ams instead trying to made fast laps I'm looking in my mirrors all the time. That was the reason why I made mistake into Sunset Bend on lap 20.
On lap 21 few cars had crash in Clubhouse Bend, I've passed them but I've made contact with Fulvio in Esses

on my replay i saw that I hit Bart on my outside drifting on him in the first esse, sorry Bart.

Np Fulvio, I think I could give you little bit more space in there, so lets say that it's our both fault Wink

After that I rejoined on P4, then I saw Evil and Clutch recovering from accident in Leeukop Bend. I've managed to pass them both before T1.
I've made few mistaken on that lap and Clutch was able to made a move on me in T1. Unfortunately we touch and I was off track(again).
When I rejoined I was on P7.

On lap 26 I've passed Steve and started cathing Fulvio, but I just couldn't do it. Luckily(for me of course) Clutch had a accident, and Fulvio had engine problems witch gave me P4.

That was good race, well maybe we had to many crashes Wink

I know - wasn't really intending to try and pass there to be honest, just trying to stay close ready for the start/finish section. Based on previous laps following you I felt that was a big enough gap and didn't bank on a random mistake in front.
(James can correct me if he had a wobble or not - I don't want to take my replay as granted due to potential lag/refresh or whatever)  Smiley

Currently, I am floudering with a 1min 39 something around Oulton Park. Usually, I try to develop my own setups but if anyone can point me to a BRM setup.....

Might be best to adapt an existing one James, maybe a Brands or something similar.
