In 9 month's racing at this place I've racked up 53 races. Probably another 20 to go til December.

Well I shall rack up at least one less as I cannot join you guys tonight...previous engagement means I cannot be there.
Also looks like I will miss a few more races as the "entertainment secretary" has organised a short break starting Saturday for 6 days??!!

All in all, I've been in over 400 online races with clubs (not counting pickups) since 2003. Most with ADC (200+), then UKGPL (110) UKGTR/GTL (60), and some one off championships with gpl and gtp.

I want my own flat / house. That was shockingly bad for me to actually tag Mike on L2 J1. I'd worked my way up to 4th before I screwed up J2. The overtake on Gerard at Jukskei was a goody, but pulling off with less than a lap to go before Clubhouse wasn't helpful, especially since I'd failed to ensure previous to the race everything was in order. We'd had a new washing machine delivered, and there were my clothes on top of it before it was installed as I'd done a wash elsewhere.

Glad to finish 3rd. Used my set-up from my 67 Brabham, which utilises the torque of the Braby engine and I only use the top 3 gears. Was in the top quartet for most of practice and went out for a last ditch attempt to get closer to the front. Just as I was about to start my fastest lap, Prib showed me in 5th, with Jethro one place ahead. I'm going to be honest, I near thought Sod it just stay there behind him, but ended up doing the lap and got third.
On L1 I had really good pace and was all over the back of Ken, but into the left/right esse on the back I had to take to the grass to avoid hitting him. This dropped me back off his tail and put Jethro (aka Nudy Boy) on mine. Sure enough into T1 he had got in the tow and went for the inside. All I'm going to say is we touched and both ended up in the grass. To say I was a bit pissed off is an understatement. I was now weel down the order, behind Phil.
I put the head down and started to reel in those in front, Jethro was about 4 places ahead, and I had murderous intent. Luckily for the Mods he chucked it off at T2 so I didn't have to pass him on the road. I was slowly reeling the front duo in, and if they had started dicing a bit sooner the gap might have closed, but all in all I'm happy with my 3rd spot.
Grats to hristo and Ken

Bit of a landmark for me too.. i actually finished a race with the 66 Mod! I was going to race in the Lotus and had practiced with a driveable setup the previous day, but after doing 2 or 3 terrible laps offline just before the race, i fudged a setup for the Ferrari instead and altered it slightly throughout qualifying to enable me to keep the thing on the road rather than smash the lap record. Think i finished 8th in the end, enjoying battles with Syd and Phil along the way. Apologies to both of them if my driving appeared very slow at some stages. When i had either of them in my mirrors i was missing gears and all sorts and becoming even more careful to try and achieve a finish. For me, the 66's are still the most difficult cars to drive (even more than the 67's) and i must be missing something setup wise to try and get these cars controllable. Still, i'll keep plugging away.

I dont think you are Clutch. I find the 3l 66's hardest aswell - especially the car I'm contractually obliged to race Was a good if incident (and spin!) packed race for me, the Honda is an animal though - Pleased to even finish in her! P.S. Jethro's mum is my new Hero

That was a rather normal race, except the last 2 laps where all the action happened at once. I had a good Qualifying and although I never managed to get a perfect lap, it was more than enough for pole. The Lotus was a bit of a handful, especially under throttle, but the engine with its massive torque and power compensates that well. The start was good and although Ken had a slightly better one, I managed to keep him back by going through the inside of J1 and J2. After that I just focused on pacing myself and not over-stress the engine. Ken, as expected, benefited from the vast slipstream of the 66 mod, but his Brabham was never able to match the straight line speed of my Lotus, so I was rather safe. At one point he was close enough to launch an attack at J1, but he opted to back off and wait for another opportunity. That came on the penultimate lap when Syd was rejoining the track in the final slow right hander and so I had to avoid him but swerving to the left and onto the grass. Ken took the chance to line up alongside me as we hit the main straight and start the final lap. I braked later than normal into J1, opting to take the outside line and hoping he'd manage to keep the inside. He did that and after exiting the corner I was still in the lead, but now I had to make sure he doesn't get a good slipstream on the run towards the finish. He had a better exit on the straight, but the Lotus powered up to keep him behind and finish 0.26 ahead! SHE WILL BE PLEASED! Grats, Ken, good racing! -=Hristo=-
