Thanks for the FUN race!

Really enjoyed it.
I couldn't join through IGOR and I was scared I would miss the fun.
Then I tried it through gpln65.exe and afther setting the internal IP correct I could luckily join.

Although I had been training last week, It felt very difficult eating the dust from Al.
I am very sorry I run into a Lotus (don't know if it was Tim or Steve?) in the opening turns of the race.

Very happy with my win, and very very with my new pb of 9:57.49 Smiley

This was the 1e time I could race GPL in the dark with real people.
Lover it.
Hope to see u guys again in the Night.

Greetings Pedro.

WD to Pedro, and in fact everyone else who finished in front.  I was pants on the track but it was fun all the same.  Thanks to Tim for sorting it out.

Hard luck Hristo, yeah I had a struggle as well but after a couple of tries it finally worked. There was a GEM error but it sorted itself out when I restarted GEM.

As to the race, not having even tried it beforehand the first lap was rather traumatic, got about 6 corners and realised that a normal set up didn't work. So came back to the pits and softened everything, then finally got a lap in just before the end of qually.

The race was a matter of survival and gradually learning how to drive the car. A bit of a dice with Al on lap 2 until he hit the undergrowth!!

Fun enough but I suppose practice might have helped Smiley

Grats to Pedro and all who turned out

Congrats to Pedro & Mike. Bumpy dirt track took some getting used to - I'd only managed one lap before the race & it reminded me of one of those dodgy fairground Ghost Train rides. I made the error of not turning off the dust trail effect & that made it virtually impossible to follow another car. Managed to catch Mike up a few times but just couldn't see a damn thing once I got into his dust cloud & ended up driving off into the spooky scenery. Night mod looked good though - would like to try another night race sometime.

Bit of a low turnout but putting that down to Friday and it being a very scary track  devil
Think we will try one more night race, maybe over the xmas break - perhaps Monza...

Anyway well done on the win Pedro.

Tough old race that, great fun though. Traded places with Steve a few times in the race although there were no actual passes, finishing in front really came down to one less spin and I had a few.
It felt like an achievement just to make it to the end, think we can call oursleves the demons of the night for crossing the line  Wink

PS: PLEASE IGNORE REFERENCE TO THE QUALLY TIMES - for some reason the replay didn't record them properly so I had to make something up to allow the import to SROU

I hope that's not the server getting a bit weird again Tim. The race report from my client replay also won't load the practice data which is what it did for the ill-fated Oulton race.

BTW I shall of course be appealing against being stripped of pole position!
