Drive this one if you dare... To my knowledge we've not tried the Night Mod before so might be fun.
The race is open to anyone and will not be passworded or moderated.

Please be in IGOR UKGPL chatroom by 8.50pm
(You will need to set up a channel called #ukgpl if you haven't already done so)
IGOR and Race passwords: no race password

Server 6.ukgpl
IP address 80.5.200.198

Race date = 30-10-2009, 9.00pm UK time
Track =  Gothnite (Machwerk variant)
Variant = Night Mod - 65 chassis
Damage Model = Intermediate
Qualifying time = 35 minutes. Don't start until 30 mins left on clock to allow everyone to join.
Race length = 5 laps

Chassis assignments: any chassis you like
Track downloadable here; http://gplmz.bcsims.com/sub/ftommi/tracks/gothnite.html
You will also need to install the Night Mod; http://srmz.net/sub/ftommi/nightmod.html
Installation instructions; http://srmz.net/sub/ftommi/installNM.html

Not sure how many of you will be interested in this, especially as it's a Friday. Decided Saturday 31/10 might result in too many divorce proceedings. If I find myself doing it solo at least I'm guaranteed my first ever UKGPL win  Wink
Seriously, post here if it's of interest - no point running a grid of two.

Hi Pedro - we'll definately run it. I've struggled on it so far - going to try Machwerk to get a feel for the track before switching over - I don't mind running at the back, reminds me of those old hammer horror movies  Evil

Bit of a dilemma here. Was getting rsi on the bumpy track and found an easy way to switch it back to normal surface without changing the look.

My question is do you want it run on a dirt track or not? I know the designer wanted it slippery and bumpy to add to the effect, which I agree with, but will that make for a good online race?
Let me know if you want to run on asphalt, I will not change my track surface if you want the dirt track effect... If you want to see the difference try a run at Machwerk in the 65's.

2- found an easy way to switch it back to normal surface
3- My question is do you want it run on a dirt track or not?

Hi Vosblod,
1- What can I say, I also get RSI on a normal surface depending on drivingstyle and mindset.
2- I would like to know how you have done that?
(I've always thought that it was possible to cheat, and this can proof it Sad )
3- Its OK by me!  (but can we do both ;-) )

I have been recruiting EOLC people ........... but have only had one reply.

(great option that "Spell Check" Smiley )

Sure we can do both. Is it a cheat? Guess so if you don't say anything - I like to think, apart from cheating yourself, you'd get found out. On this one I think you would be able to tell.

To clear things, (and make sure I am not understood wrong) ...... its not that "I" want or am going to cheat!
Its more I always thought that if its possible to cheat, maybe some people have done so.

OK.. I am not a saint either.. while completing my monstertotalrank I run out of track or hit the railing sometimes (but to call that a cheat)

Great option the Spell Check, now I must find a " To be understand well check"  Wink

Sorry I've just realised I've shown my newbie colors.
This one's on GPL Rank and we don't want to skew things. We'll run it on the dirt track, the way it's meant to be.

Well, I left the installation of the night mod for the last moment and spent 25 minutes trying to make it work. First it installed to a wrong folder even though I specified a correct one, then on 2nd attempt it installed well until I got an error during the part where it deals with GEM.

By the time I managed to run it, the race had just started. Didn't expect this night mod to be such a struggle...

Hope you had a fun race.
