Season 18  Gold Cup - Round 5 - Spa

Fortunately the venue for the Gold Cup is the same as the other series for this round so there won't be any need to learn a different circuit.  It might be a chance to find out how much wing is needed to be able to take L'Eau Rouge flat.

As well as registering at UKGPL you will also need to have registered at GBGPL.
The races will not be moderated by the UKGPL moderating staff but any driver disqualified by the GBGPL moderators will be removed from the race results. The race results will be imported into the SRou results system and the points awarded according to the UKGPL scoring system.

Congrats to Anders, Evil and Natan. Enjoyed my first Gold race.

Quallied 4th which I was very pleased with. A knock in the first lap with a car getting the wobbles put me down to 6th.
I pushed on and eventually passed a stationary Natan by which time I was up to 4th. Eventually the inevitable happened and Natan started to close right up, so I made my classic mistake of starting to think hmm how am I going to deal with this whilst negotiating Masta. My spin solved Natan's problem and also let Dan through.
From there on it was very much a solo run although, due to Fredrik's disco (the bane of GPL), I eventually finished 4th.
So very pleased all in all.

I'll definately be back but won't be able to make them all due to issue with Mondays.
