I'm quicker in the Elan, but there is no escaping the fact that the F275 is more fun.
So I'll be bringing up the rear tonight. Cheesy

At this moment I feel like I've just about had it with simracing.  Sad

On a rare occasion when I feel like having a go the stoopid PC lets me down with a display driver crash.

Jumped on with no practice and was starting to get quicker, but the end of lap 2 GTL minimises for no apparent reason leaving me sitting in the gravel while I switch back to it.

Then after fighting back a few places it just hangs completely.

I guess I should probably do a full windows reinstall to get some stability back but frankly I just can't be bothered, got enough carp going on without this.

Hope the race went well for everyone else, and congrats to Oily for the champ, nice one mate.  thumbup1

At this moment I feel like I've just about had it with simracing.  Sad

I know the feeling - instead of spending an hour before the race trying to solve my front tyre temperature problems, I spent it in a frustrating battle to try and understand what the herring's going on with my wheel. Everything was fine until today's iRacing problems, but once I fired up GTL the wheel kept drifting its centre position whenever I left the pits for a second or subsequent time.

Started to make some progress towards the end of qualifying, and left the pits with seconds to spare just to do a final test of the wheel. Guess what. Miles off centre. Bah. Pulled the USB, which of course lost my profile (I map the shifters to keys to avoid double shifts), so Alt-Tabbed out and back to reset it. Started the race with the wheel straight, but the force feedback all wrong. Dropped to the back and could keep up with the back of the pack on that lap, but it spun under braking for T1 on lap 2 so I quit.

Maybe I could find a way to map buttons using Joy2Key that I can use across all sims and junk the profiler. Though that may not help of course.

Not ruddy well impressed in any case. Angry

Honestly I was expecting a little less from this race than this. Firstly I was worried about how can I look after the tyres for them to last as long as possible, the other thing was the fuel consumption, had to guess and gladly everything went fine, I managed to hang on to the second place after Lazlow stormed by at the start. I thought I´ll let the time pass and see if Lazlow would go wide at some place, but he drove well but I got lucky in one point to squeeze past from the inside at the trickier part of the track.

Well done Ade & Lazlow. And the rest of the SROUK pack too! Great race!

Disgracefull race for me.

Silly car choice for so many laps. My rear tires last only 6 laps (tyre wear at 11)  Grin
Anyway, I was having fun sliding the Vette and in 7th place  Shocked with Oily and Oilseal?
right behind me. Untill my rear tire wear make me spin in front of them.
It happened really fast, tried to run away from where I was (right in the middle of the track
facing the wrong way) but was too late.  Angry Sorry for ruinning Oily and Oilseal's race.  Lips Sealed

Went to the pits to repairs and chance tires. Back on track for more 6 fun laps.
Back to pits to change tires. Back on track for a few more fun laps. That's all.

Corvette is a great car, but my lack of skills to drive it doesn't let me perform a nice driving.
Maybe at LeMans or Monza things would be better... Roll Eyes

So, many congratulations to Dynosaur and his win aswell to Ade and Lazlow podium.

It's great to see twenty drivers on the grid & with a range of ten different cars. Well done chaps.

I had most enjoyable scraps throughout the race with API / Spanner / Geoffers / Andy & Goldie was never too far away either. Good driving by all thumbup2 & I can only apologise for the length of braking zone my Daytona seemed to need Roll Eyes. Combine that with rear tyres that were on fire well before half way, I could barely keep the rear end almost in check (much to the amusement of Oily who seemed to enjoy the show from the pits Wink) & I know it caused a couple of moments for a couple of you whistling

Well done to Dyno on picking up his 1st win of the season, while just managing to sneak past Shark for forth place driver in the Classic Cup Championship final standings, while further demonstrating Prodigy's strength in depth. Once again well done to Oily, Lazlow & Ade for dominating the top three between you across the whole season really. Cadwell was the only race that none of you made the podium, so guess where we'll be next year Wink

Well that, was the conclusion to the Sprint season. Hope you enjoyed it, I know I did. Always a pleasure to drive with you guys. wub

Hope to see you all next week for our traditional season finale, the Le Mans Enduro  Cool Cool Cool

Nice track choice again guys which made for some classic power vs agility racing.

Seemed to be a lot of offs early on (me included) which made it an eventful race with recovering drivers fighting back for lost positions throughout the race. I had some close racing particularly with spanner in the Elan as he tried to find a way past my wide TVR in the twisty sections. He finally got through at T3 with a great move down the inside after I'd left a little too much room and then proceeded to disappear into the distance. Andy got past me into the s/f straight in his Cobra and I just couldn't get back to him. Fronts were getting pretty worn by this time and the mistakes crept in leaving me well adrift by the end of the race.

As I look forward to Le Mans, I can say that I've really enjoyed my first GTL season and hope that it continues to hold its weekly spot here despite the competition from other events. I believe it has held its own, apart from a brief period of PnG dominance in the summer and that it will continue to attract good numbers for next season.

Cheers guys clap

Great track to finish the season on, a real challenge in these cars.

Got a great start & was 3rd for the first lap, ran slightly wide at T1 on lap 2 & Ade went past. A few laps later Tinman got his Cobra ahead too but I was comfortable in 5th until I totally confused my braking point for T1 & went straight on into the barrier  Roll Eyes. Dropped back into a frantic battle with Legzy, Andy & Spanner which lasted the rest of the race. Spanner's nimbler Elan eventually came out on top & I nabbed 8th when both Legzy & Andy went off on the penultimate lap.

Congrats to Dyno, Ade & Lazlow thumbup1

And congrats also to Mr Oily on the championship  clap clap clap
