In case you have been hiding under a rock, there are GTL lobby problems. But.... all is not lost!

This is what I did to connect to the server:

1) Download & run this HOSTS HACK
2) Start GTL & select to the lobby
3) Register a new lobby account (I suggest the same name but with a blank email & password)
4) Log in with your new account & you should see a list of servers

With that fix, there is no need to touch your host file (unless you've already changed it, then you would need to remove the GTL changes you did). If this fix has not worked for you, then please check out this thread for more info/questions: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=6869.msg119486#msg119486

All members welcome.

Track: Mugello v1 (download here)
Time of Day Setting: 16:00
Start: Standing

Practice: ~19:15 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30 22 laps (~50 mins)

Cars allowed: Any GTC-65 including the Ferrari 250GT SWB, Aston Martin DB4, Plymouth, 1310 Mini Cooper S (but excluding the GT40 and Mclaren M1A)

Server: UKGTL Classic Cup
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(4) This race will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.
(5) The current Lobby connection fix can be downloaded HERE & if you're having problems after that, check HERE

Finding it really difficult choosing a ride for this fantastic circuit. All the cars I've tried have been great fun. Some more suited to the twisty bits, whilst other monster it on that long S/F straight. Be interesting to see what eventualy everyone goes with.

Well Tony. I managed a 17 with Elan, then another 17 with TVR, Daytona is a bit slower for me.
I think I would prefer to blow past Elans on the straight, than try to get up the inside of TVRs
in the twisties.

There is only one sane choice in GTC-65, and 3000 reasons to choose it. You know it makes sense. Tongue

Tried out the Cobra & the 1310 last night, great track.

Cobra was a pain to keep on the track but I managed a best of 2.13.6, Mini was brilliant on the twisties but painfully slow on the straight, 2.15.3 with that. Might give the TVR a go tonight.

Having done a whole 22 lap race (offline) I don't think we should be too concerned about these awesome lap times. This track shreads tyres as my Daytona will testify. So these guy's with the initial pace will soon fall into our evil clutches Mha-ha-ha-ha etc  devil

Tried the TVR & found it a bit easier to drive than the Cobra, at least I can keep it on the track for more than 2 laps at a time  Cheesy. Best time in TVR 2.14.9.

I think we should have a gentlemans agreement to all drive the Elite  Grin

Popped in online tonight and witnessed the usual suspects ( alien's) doing 2:12's.

Now where's my knitting..........

I guess some  alien s must have joined after I left but I managed a mid 12 in the Cobra, I think Ade had got
down to 13s in the Trevor, I had 14s in the Elan. I left the Cobra untouched as whenever I have driven it before
it has always ended in tears, it is probably hideous after 12 laps, but, with some neutering I found it easier to drive
than any of the others, the Elan is truly the devil's work, it handles like a 911 without the turn in. I spun every 3rd
lap in it, and I had tried all different setup combos. Tvr is nice but I was falling asleep waiting for the nose
to realise it was in a corner. I think I managed mid 14s in it.
