Good point, I guess there's no real benefit to limiting it.

Unlimited resets it is.

A 'fast' tow is very slow! You will probably go a lap down at least, so it doesn't really get you back in the race.

It's better than not being able to reset at all though especially for the guys who haven't raced the Skip for a while.

Yes, just didn't want people to have the expectation that they could just reset and carry on racing. The word 'fast' is perhaps not the best choice.

Good point Paul, let's clarify exactly what a tow does then;

Quote
A driver may call for a tow to the pits at any point during a race by pressing the “Enter/Exit/Tow Car” control, which will move the driver forward around the track to his/her pit, where they will be held for some amount of time that represents a tow vehicle returning the driver's car to the pits. The time the tow takes is based on how far forward around the track the driver's car is being towed, so that the driver is neither gaining nor losing track position to the other competitors, plus a base penalty time for calling for a tow. If the tow takes a driver across the start/finish line to his/her pit stall, the driver will be scored for that lap after the tow completes. Once the tow is complete, the driver's pit crew may complete any requested pit work and attempt to repair the car, and any pending penalties will be served.

A 'quick tow' is;

Quote
a tow during the race will be of a slightly shorter duration than a regular tow, and the driver's car will be fully repaired and restored by the tow.

But you all knew that becuase you've read the iRacing Sporting Code right? Grin

iSporting Code? Few drivers that I raced with at the time respected any of it. Sad I think UKGTR community is miles ahead of any of that public server geezers. Tongue  Sorry to all UKGTR guys that race there still, only meant those blokeheads that made me quit iR after one month. Sad

It was early days - racing the Solstice etc.  I would say the driving standards have improved on the whole, but rookies still make rookie errors, and arses still drive like arses.  As long as you don't expect SRouk-like standards you should be okay.  I'm looking forward to racing in iR again for the first time in a long while - even the "normal" races.

iRacing does NOT save the replay by default, you have to remember to save it. I will endeavour to make a replay available after the race for anyone who forgets.

I've also turned on the GPL-style replay clip upload capability of the incident reporting system for iRacing, so if you do need to report something, please edit a small clip out of your client replay and upload using that.

Could someone point me to the schedule for the planned series?  I've seen it before but it seems to have vanished?

There is a very small chance that I can make this race. Hopefully I will be finishing work @ 8.00PM, so if I get back in time and GF permitting I will see you on track! Smiley

I've seen a few people using some sort of autochat feature but i have never found it in the setup screen. Whats with voice comms? what is it? voice to text? or a TS type thing?
