I might have to give this a miss chaps, for the second time in a week we have a major delay on the trains.
Typical!

Holy moley! That was hard work for a 10th place finish Qually went better than I expected getting into the 1:46's but I had an awful start to the race, just couldn't get going at all. Got a slight tap from Shark into club when I messed up my braking and went even more to pieces ( ) so decide to let PaulH through too as I was becoming a bit of a liability. Got on track after that and had a great race with Stewart for the rest of the race, couldn't quite get into position to try a pass but kept it close all the way to the flag

Great drive Pops, very, very close, but safe at all times. 1st few laps were ok, but fronts went off really quick, so that by about lap 14, had almost no grip, and was understeering at EVERY corner. Grats to podium, and thanks again to Pops for a great race.

Joined the practice server after downloading Gregor Huttu's setup. It was very lively to say the least but after a few changes it was not only stable it was quick.
During practice and I was on a very consistent basis posting 1.44s.
The qualifying session was a nightmare for me. I just made mistake after mistake and even the 1.44.2 lap was a mess. Easily a mid 43 possible.
Brendan put me under pressure for the first few laps but as the tyres got up to temperature and I got into a flow I could pull away.
Managed a number of 44s in the race with 44.6 being the best.
It nearly ended in tears though. I caught a couple of cars having a race. One went on to the grass as soon as I caught and I followed the other car.
I had no intention to pass and was happy to wait, but the car lifted off and I moved to the inside line but so did he. I gave him a little bump and myself a fright, but no harm done.
The last few laps were all pretty slow but pleased to see even with that, my average lap is still every bit as quick as my old PB laptime which I've wiped a good bit off.
With a good setup the car did feel much better.
Good racing guys,

Crashed into the wall while 7th, limped to pit, no repairs done, quit. What's with the pits again, should have used the tow (TOW would be better )?

Apologies to Matthew - fozzmeister You braked way earlier than I was expecting at the end of the first straight and I slid right in the back of you! Sorry about that! Race was all over after that... fast tow was painfully slow! Rejoined 2 minutes down and was very slow getting myself back together while having to let most of the pack through. Eventually settled down to some 1.49's but motivation and concentration had gone.. Pipped Picnic in the last couple of laps to finish next to last! Frustrated with my lack of talent! :'( Did try Dave's set up, thanks for that, but that felt very planted but very slow! I have no idea how you get that thing going any quicker! Actually I think I do.... I'm guessing it was set up for higher downforce and I just didn't drive it to take advantage of that!? I think my set up was probably the other way, less downforce for quick straights etc. Oh well you live and learn

I tried wing 18 in practice but just couldn't make it work. Tried dozens of setup tweaks but in the end I wound up qualifying and racing on my tried and trusted setup. Start was manic - Dan barely moved off the line and Shark and Paul tripped over each other in Copse which left me 3rd. It didn't take long for Dan to find a way by, but despite the setup going off terribly early - about lap 7 - I had a handy gap over Gary, TT, Shark and Paul. Which I promptly spun away by going too fast into Copse. Shark made short work of getting past while I was still flustered and I had to defend from Gary for a few laps until I calmed down again and started to eek away. Then Gary fell off, which instead of being a relief meant that Paul was free to hunt me down. Luckily for me a puncture put paid to his challenge and I cruised round the last half of the final lap. Not sure if I could've held onto 4th from Shark had I not spun but I'm annoyed for never giving myself the chance to find out.

God knows what happened at the start, held it just under the limiter and dropped the clutch and the car just bogged , just tried some practice starts and it seems impossible to to get the rear wheels to spin all about slipping the clutch a bit. Dave it seemed an age before i could get passed you coz of your higher wing set up you were very quick through the end of the lap, i think if you hadnt of given me so much room into Becketts it would have taken quite a bit to get through as i wasnt willing to pull some crazy late braking move. If you had kept your foot in at Becketts i would not have turned in on you mate. After passing Dave i tried to close on Brian but he was a couple of tenths quicker a lap so had no chance , Shark started to pull me in towards the end but managed to bring it home for third. Still find the steering way to sensitve, Its like your driving a kart . A little flick of the steering into the corner and then keep the wheel straight all the through and out the other side, Maybe its what the Radical is like in real life but the C6 feels exactly the same which is odd. Also i couldnt hear any of the cars around me . looking forward to the next one.

I wasn't expecting to be racing anything (PnG either) tonight as had other plans & had only been "playing" with this combo on Monday as it's obviously all new to me. So bit of a bonus race night for me. I used your setup thanks Dave. I didn't really find I was any quicker, but I felt able to be more consistent with the laptimes then my own effort. Had a really good opening few laps, first trying to get past Picnic & then an even longer battle with Spanner . I think we were both quicker on different parts of the track. Great driving by both of them though! Unfortunately Spanner & I both went off at the same corner (purely coincidence) & we never saw Pete again. My car just didn't feel right after that & it turned into a lonely race as Spanner was clearly faster now. With a handful of laps to go, Spanner went off & we got to start fighting again. Then Brian was catching us, Spanner let him past (went on the grass too ) & wanting to fight to the end, I decided to pull over & ease off to allow Brian the normal racing line... so Spanner would catch back up. I really wish I hadn't as Brian also moved to the inside & we came together. Sorry Brian, my fault totally & I know better then to do that Pleased you had a good cushion already to secure your win. Just one lap to go then & I didn't get to scrap it out with Spanner anyway, as I spun at about T4 Enjoyed the Radical, felt like you needed to 'chuck' it into corners

It's ok, not the end of the world.
I was about 19 secs up by that stage and would have been more than happy to follow you around to the straight.
As soon as you slowed I thought that was my signal then we both moved the same way but I was going faster.
My car scooped you rear up and I thought we were going off but I luckily it never happened although it still knocked the steering off a little.
One of those things and purely accidental. Nothing like the grief some cars give me at iRacing when lapping!

Just got a bit frustrated last night, it just didnt feel the same as monday night. Tried Dave's setup which was a bit stiffer and shorter gearing, but felt too stiff and wasnt turning in as well as mine so returned to my setup but raised the rebound all round by one and reduced the gearing to the middle setting. This should have helped but actually found myself really struggling to stop into the chicane before Bridge. Before i was occasionally taking 3rd through it with the long gearing but even in 2nd it felt too fast and often messed up the second part.
Some good racing with Legzy and Pete in close attendance at times tho but was nervous when running that close to people, once in clear air i could settle down and try and be a bit consistent.

So what happens when tyre wear comes down to 0% - puncture? And then? You limp to the pits for a change? Do they change it? Or do you use a "fast" tow? How is repair damage done now in the pits? Or is it fast tow usage (still) the only way to repair the damage? How is this implemented in the future? Pesky questions? Wanna know.

Tyre wear is a bit like GTR2, below a certain percentage you get an increasing chance of a puncture. I *think* it's 40% but I'm not sure. At 0% It will deffo puncture.
Tyres can be changed with a pitstop without using a reset.
ATM, damage repair isn't implemented at all in the pits. A reset will get you a new car but you'll lose lots of time as you discovered last race.
