No need to worry about me Tim or Oily, I still feel like a fish out of water in these things and get easily "put off" by the attentions of other drivers.

Look for me in your mirrors or climbing out of the sand.  Grin

Superb! Booted three times by the ever flakey GTR2 ****ware, the final time just as the join grid for start countdown started.  Angry

Don't get that grief with GTL  angel

EDIT: Don't suppose this helped, from my ISP

gutted was really looking forward to a P&G race here but for some reason my connection kept dropping every few minutes. Angry Never managed a single timed lap due to discos throughout the practise and qual sessions

edit: just phoned the ISP and got told they had a major server foobar...just my bloody luck on P&G racing night :'(

hope you all had a good un...sobs into beer glass.

Oh dear, bad luck you guys.  Sad

Rain did for me, no wet practice meant just couldn't find the limit in the Corvette.

Well, gave it another go, but I'm still fairly lukewarm about the chuckability of these P&G cars, to me they just ain't.  Something wrong when my road car is easily controllable in a four wheel drift entering a corner (mostly on a track I might add) but these so-called drift-tastic old cars aren't.  Huh  Everything's good about P&G except the tyre grip characteristics.

Oh, and the too-many versions of cars, wasted one practice driving an L88 unknowingly with different tyres and wondering what had gone wrong with the setup.  Tongue

Yay, 2nd place!!!

Boo, dq'd after the finish for going backwards.

Well done Jose, couldn't match your pace at all.

Loved the rain even if it was a bit sudden when it came and went.

Nice to be back Wink

Cheers, Ross.

You gents should have gone to Tiscali  clown Seriously, thats a bugger cause that was seriously good.

Got some serious pace outta the Cobra by dialing out some of the oversteer (thanks for the tip mike). First few laps ware bedlam as ruddy GT40's flew past and 906's battered me through corners. I say bedlam but driving standards were excellent, including one unfortunate 906 who took to the wall rather than hit me. Honestly, that was as fast as it would go through there  :'( Then the rain came. Gawd I was cursing the idjut who decided the rain would be a good idea as he clearly never tested in a Cobra (nor did I Grin). The car returned to its massively oversteery best and Mike cruised past brilliantly in the wet. Then it dried and we were evenly matched going through traffic, brilliant fun. Got close to him through chicane and did him around outside into bus stop. A brilliant pass if I say so myself  Wink He wasn't gonna give it up easily and side to side stuff continued for half a lap with plenty of room given but I was lucky enough to sneak home in end. Cheers, that was top drawer Mike  I Am Not Worthy

Gotta admit that changing conditions made for a great race, kudos to the man who thought of that.

Great fun tonight Smiley

Classic agility v grunt battle in the 906 with the heavy metal boys and when the rain came the odds turned in my favour. I got a little too excited at the top of Les Coombes and went lawnmowing for a while, but soon made up time to Ian and Mike when the rain starting coming down heavier.

Was still closing in when I came across a spinning Laurie on the approach to the Bus Stop. Had nowhere to go and ploughed straight into him effectively ending my race and his Sad  Not your fault mate, I know you'd been collected just before I got there so just one of those things.

Really looking forward to LM and then the new PnG season, whichever form it takes. I know we have another PnG fun race planned for Doni, but any chance of squeezing in another LM test before the big day?

A race of 2 halves for me....

The first half of the race was lots of fun, racing Clives & Oily's GT40s, Pribeiro's 914, dodging spinning cars in Blanchemont and trying not to rear end those GT40s as they held me up in the twisty bits but blasted by on the straights.

Then it started raining....  Sad

And suddenly my 911 was handling like a wild, untamed beast, understeering on corner entry and lots of oversteer on exit.  I soon lost 20-30s a lap, leaving me on my own. The handling improved as the track dried but there were plenty of wet patches.

Maybe I should have thought about that wet setup  Roll Eyes

Yes. Drivers are again politely reminded to not drive into Oily (or Oily substitute) until way past the finish line or you do risk a DQ.
