Thanks Ade, that would be great, just to compare the kind of adjustments you've made to what I tried. I'd forgotten P&G has so many variations, I have no idea of the bhp of the Cobra I took. I think I will stick with the L88 though, I seem to have found a reasonable setup, 45 dead with race fuel and fair bit of time to be gained judging by split times. I'm still very inconsistent but the car feels quite nice.

Hi guys, I've been MIA for a few months due to a bike trip followed by new baby (my sim rig was in the new baby's room). Anyhow, settled down a bit now and the rig's moved downstairs so I'm going to try and get back in the saddle. Any problems if I join in this one? I won't be on the pace but I need to start again at some point Cheers, Ross.

Thankyou Tony 2m.41s in the GT40 for me so far after a few laps this evening on the default set-up which feels okayish in a 'where's the turn-in' kind of way. 911 IROC feels nicer to drive, but seems to be quite a bit slower. 427's a bitch as far as I can tell. Anyone have any links to decent set-ups for the GT40 or IROC? Cheers, Ross.

I looked up fast laps in my profile. Are those offline/online or both?

Er....both I think. Have managed a 2:45.6xx now but a bit baffled about the next five seconds that are apparently required. Can't make up my mind on the gear ratio. Mark was recommending the lowest final drive ratio but that leaves the poor beast bouncing off the rev limiter on the way to Les Combes? I've watched POODLEKeith and think that he is probably using the lowest ratio as well but can't see where the time difference is lurking. I'm probably taking too much speed off before turning in because I don't think it will.

I took a couple of cars out for a spin last night, and after wrestling the GT40 Gulf round for a 2:45, I took the 911 RSR out and was pleasantly surprised with how much fun it is to drive, best last 2:48.7 but I'll work on it again tonight. Have managed a 2:45.6xx now but a bit baffled about the next five seconds that are apparently required.
Clive, if you don't find the next 5 seconds you can always keep me company at the back

Weather: A typical British summers day (i.e. A dry start likely to be followed by a heavy downpour before easing off again)
Just thought I'd give everyone a quick reminder, that I've started my warm up routine for the big rain dance. Expect to see some rain in the middle of this race sometime. Worth a few wet practice laps to see the difference in grip.

Clive, if you don't find the next 5 seconds you can always keep me company at the back OK Tim But if Legzy’s rain dance works you will have to bring your own brolly! I’ve subjected PK’s lap to a stopwatch analysis and can identify that it is Rivage and the LH after it that is where I take the biggest hit. Apart from that Eau Rouge, Fagnes and Stavelot and Blanchemont combined don’t do me any favours either. I actually took 0.04 out of him at Les Combes and he returned the favour at Pouhon. At least I know where to look now.

Yes good job you narrowed it down a bit Clive . I'm extremely impressed with your dedication to actually get the stopwatch out - I too am running on what feels like a knife edge in that thing and wondering how the hell Keith is permanently sat on my rear bumper lol. Does everyone else's Mk2 buck like a bronco between gear changes!? I think the tuning was done by the same company that built that Stratos from last night's Top Gear. I shall take a look at Rivage but I imagine it's unfortunately just practice and more practice as usual. I'll see you there Tim . I'll be the one getting a tank slapper on through Eau Rouge. Seems to be my line these days lol.

I really enjoyed in the first laps with the GT40 MKII!!! After 6-7 laps I managed a 2.42.8, but I surely can go down a bit... I think that reading previous Legzy's post, I'll have to try this Monster car on the wet, to see if it's possible to bring it to the end... I am a bit confused about this thing... If it rains I'll say a lot of prays to Saint Brembo... the holy protector of braking
