1) Should the HUD have a rev counter on it?  Mine hasn't and I can't find a button that will provide it.

2) When the red light comes on, does it just mean that I have hit a rev limiter?  If yes, am I damaging the engine at this point?

But should I drive not to see the red light or is it actually a limiter that prevents damage but, as you say, suggests it's time for a change?

Don't know for sure, but I drive to the light a lot and I don't kill engines or lose out on the straights that much. Where you need to be careful is downchanging too soon as it fries the motor in no time.

Thanks Paul.

The GT40 certainly makes some evil noises if you go for 1st too soon.
