No problems whatsoever with the server or with pass. All run just great as usual. I'm indeed a lucky bastard Many, many mistakes kept me from having a better race. But I'm still testing the 550 Having a nice fight with Blaz when made another T1 spin (I lost the count of how many I deed in that corner). It was a shame as I was having a great fun with Blaz and we could have ended pretty pretty close

Had a good qual, setting a new PB for the BMW. Struggled initialy in the race, kept being a little inconsistent. Managed to stay within 4 or 5 secs of Dave until he went off, pitty as we could have had a good battle. As always with the BMW the front left tyre seems to be a big problem, way over temp. Had originally planned to do a none stop race but with 10 laps or so to go I had a lead of over 1 min and my first worn tyre warning, decided to play it safe and took a pit stop for tyres only. Managed to win the class and amazingly didnt spin at all, overall a good nights work. :-)

On paper, I could almost keep up with Locust, but I knew that A) My race-pace was a good 1.5 seconds slowe B), still driving too rough in the NGT to do a 1-stopper. Locust pulled away at a steady pace and once I settled down, I wa able to pull away from Fozz and had a 24 second lead when I pitted for fuel and tyres...except, I had forgotten which key the starter was mapped to (I don't use autoclutch) and it took me ages to find it (was mapped to 'S' for Starter, doh!). I couldnt quite figure out the positions and initially thought I was 20 seconds behind Fozz, but when 'he' spun, it turn out to be Jamera and I had another 47 seconds to catch!. I threw caution to the wind and started pushing every lap and got it down to about ~10 seconds on the last lap. Probably one of the best drives I've ever done, with only a minor off on the last lap. I hope for more NGT's next race!..4 participants is barely worth logging on for!

I had no trouble at all getting in, but during the race I had one episode of "transient disconnect" like what I was getting last weekend. Luckily this time it came back and was stable after that. (I have a new modem/router doohickey and it seems to cope with my 2MB upgrade a lot better. ) I had bad line for first few months. Phoned ISP, they made me do a test for 12 hours or so and cause there were errors they said they'd send BT engineer. I'm on 1mb line with 2mb sync rate.. engineer said changing sync down to 1mb would fix it but first he took a look at box down the street. Said he changed a few things and my line stats improved significantly. So worth doing the test cause there could be a genuine problem with something in the box. My stats were 55 for attenuation, for 2mb sync it needs 45 ideally. Now i'm on 28 or something rediculous after the engineer visited. Also my noise was 12 ish before and they say you got to be above 10 ideally, now i'm onn 24. It's been up and running for over a week without errors or disconnections whereas before I was getting disconnected every day. My router has a log so I can see what's going on. Hope that helps some. Good racing in UKGTR, though alot of chaos but what can you expect on a narrow track like Anders. I made two mistakes when all I had to do was sit tight behind Shark, nice fair drivin btw... good to see GT drivers slow right down for nGT. If not for 1fps it was yours for sure. I'm hoping GTL is not so buggy too so we can have some great races and drop GTR imo. My new GFX card is ace, X850XT... got it mostly for GTL.

That explains why it was stuck at 35 despite the fact I was majorly cruising after about 25 mins, and then all of a sudden started going down reasonably quickly. I knew I had time, and loads of it so I slowed down even more :-) Your pace was wierd at the start too, I was just about keeping up with you at the start, leaking about 0.1 per lap, then all of a sudden you just started going really quick. Anyway I wasn't prepared for this race at all, had done about 15 mins preperation, total. So I'm very lucky to have the win. No problems, Blaz. Things like that happen (I've done Fozz twice ). I was too slow last night and even if I didn't spin, I'd be in the same place - 5th is ok for my last nights race pace, but not for a championship - I'm sliding down from 3rd place. :'( That confirms I'm a better driver than an engineer as I can't setup my car to be really fast. And, of course, there is never enough time to test other setups. Ah, to have that 8 hours I waste at working! Btw, we really reached a state where GTs and NGTs can share the same race. Good for us.

On the 1 FPS front, I kick myself for changing anything in the settings. I couldn't believe it would make any difference and I changed it for the Rookies night with total success so I thought it wouldn't be a problem. I changed from ISDN to Cable/ADSL connection type in the internet connection settings in game. I can only guess that's what gave me the 1 fps cause I haven't had it with ISDN selected ever. Especially annoying when you consider I have 2Mb broadband!

There were quite a few NGT regulars missing last night. Picnic, Don, Paul and Glen to name a few. I may consider changing to NGT next season for Endurance as there are plenty of GTs.

My pace is always crap at the start . I always try to be super cautious and it takes me awhile to find the limits again. I also think there's a big psychological effect of following/being followed. Often I find I can almost keep up with faster guys until they get a 3-4 second gap and then suddenly they take off (or I drop back). Once I got 3 seconds down to you, the whole thing seemed much easier, despite you weren't really threathening to overtake at anypoint. I did play around with the idea of not pitting, but tyres would have been marginal. Jakob

this is no doubt a rookie question, but how come when i pitted, my crew ignore my fuel strategy and fill my tank up to the brim? I was only one stopping but they stuck 67 litres in my tank with only 18 laps to go. I must admit i just hit 'enter' when the pit menu came up as i thought they would automatically stick to my setup choices.
Regarding the next race, i may well go NGT too as i might have some closer racing. The GT racers are way quicker than me at present and i'm still learning some of the tracks (and cars). I thought i would be in a Div2 enduro as i presumed div 1 is where the very fast preside?...or am i mistaken, being a rookie? I'm happy to compete in either, just want to make sure i'm not doing anything wrong and am not out of my depth skill wise.
ps where are the results & drivers championship tables posted?

In the setup screen are selections for each pitstop. These values do not default to the fuel amount you put in for the initial stint but to some large value. If you say no pitstops and then have one it still seems to dump loads of fuel in so I tend to set 2 or 3 pitstops with 0 fuel if I don't intend to stop. Means you shouldn't have to deselect the fuel if you have to make a stop then

Hmm, but i had set my set up to make one stop at half race distance and put the appropriate amount of fuel in (ie start with 22 laps of fuel, first stop = 18 laps of fuel), yet it ignored it and filled me up.

Hmmm..... That *should* work, that's how I tend to set up my Enduro races and it's always worked as you would expect. The only time I had a problem is when I hadn't planned to stop and it worked like Picnic described above, that's really good advice. I'd go back and check the set-up you used just to make absolutely sure it was correct, it's easy to get the wrong set-up when you are quickly changing from your 'qualifying' to your 'race' set-up. Regarding the next race, i may well go NGT too as i might have some closer racing. The GT racers are way quicker than me at present and i'm still learning some of the tracks (and cars). Well, there will almost certainly be NGT spaces available in the Div2 Enduro race at Anderstorp next Sunday, reserves can drive in Div 1 or 2 as they see fit, and that will have the bonus of you knowing the track pretty well Hope you can make it. Pops.
