Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 201s

It is the warm up lap at Brno. Gsi Bob is warping badly. The SROU replay shows he makes contact with Lazlow although due to the lagging, Bob states his replay shows no contact (I have not seen this).
Lazlow's statement is contradictory both asking for a penalty to be applied and asking for no penalty to be given. Given the lagging problem, I am going to rule Racing Incident with acknowledgement that this would have been very frustrating for Lazlow.

My return to GTR2 almost 2 years without running it, was.......dumb.  Tongue
Tbh, I still like it a lot.

Without any practice, I was happy for my quali session. Lets see how I behave with a GT car then...

Starting grid, good skins around, good sounds, nice 100 fps....look!...at the S/F stands are a couple
of friends of mine....let me wave to them as they are waving to me.... Roll Eyes ......no, it wasn't like this...
green lights, cars beginning to move...GT1s away, GTCs in front away, first gear...throttle....nothing!!  Shocked
what the...... Lips Sealed engage reverse and 1st and 2nd and neutral....nothing. w00t GTCs behind me went away......and I found myself pressing all the keybord. blink suddenly my brain began to work a bit better
and I pressed the engine start key...et voilá...it's alive, unfortunately 50 seconds behind the pack.  whistling
That's right, when I completed the pace lap, faster than you all - I admit - but I was alone...
my gap for the car in front was 40 seconds. I don't quit, I want to finish it. Porsche might hold
all race with the full tank I havd had. As for the tires we will see later...in fact, everything went
quite nice, I was shortning the gap, after 5 laps to 30 seconds now, but....on lap 8 the GT1's folks
began to, in their fast & furious pace, scaring me all the 18 of them, just when I was shortning the gap.  Grin
No need to say that I had lost all the time I gainned, making the GT1 passing manouvers easy.
Fuel was enough (finished race with fuel for only one more lap). Only had to changed all the tires.
Hats off for Picnic's race and his gentleman spirit, finishing race!  yes

Well done to the winners, what an amazing pace!

Cheers

LapChart

Hi Pete

The lapchart link seems broken (404) is it just me?

Full marks for determination with that ill-handling Lotus last night - time to choose something new for sure.

LOL - my team mates were amazed/shocked/disappointed I was taking the dreadful Exige for a 2nd race running. I'm hoping the Team Shark mechanics will have finished preparing the stead I'm meant to be driving for the next event Wink I never want to sit in that evil thing ever again.

at one point I was in an Aston sandwhich with one of them on the grass passing me. Shocked Roll Eyes
Er yeah my bad dude  Sad, I wanted to come to your left but Legzy was there, We were having such a hard fight and I was just going too fast. If I had tried to slow down behind you it would have been a 3 car pile up I'm sure.
lol, that explains it. I couldn't understand how you possibly got past me there, I was using Dave as a shield to get a one corner breather before we started at it again. I got to the corner & you were already there! Shocked Huh laugh

What a great great race that was!
I was gutted for Lazlow in the position behind me on the grid, Bob was unfortunately warping all over the shop on the pace lap & bumped Lazlow off behind me. From that point, I drove right off the normal racing line to avoid suffering the same outcome Sad. I'm guessing something went wrong for the pole sitter? As despite starting only 12th on the grid, I only seemed to do about 10 yards with the pit limiter on. This also caught Craske out (next car ahead of me on the grid) I think, as when we crossed the start line to go, he didn't release the pit limiter to go... I waited... & a little longer & I'm off! Zoomed down to T1 just ahead of him. From then I was scrapping non-stop with him, till we caught NSFast. We then created a mini-jam allowing Bob, Blunder & Spanner to get right back with us. After a few laps of that I managed to get a great run out the final bend to have overlap going into T1 & slip away from nsfast. It didn't take Craske too long to get past & start our battle again! We managed to swap places a good few times & I reckon there was possibly only one little paint rub the whole time.

I managed to have a good pitstop & eek out about a 9 sec advantage over Craske & seemed to leapfrog Teammate API with about 5 secs to spare. To start with both of them started chipping away at my lead, but as it settled down API was the one to watch. Having lost 3 seconds of my advantage in the 1st six laps, I was rather nervous about holding him off for ten laps with nothing to spare. But it's OK, my "teammate" will allow us to coast to the end... like hell he did! That final ten laps was like I was still trying to hold Craske off! Shocked Awesome drive API, us finishing just 2 tenths apart after 80mins Cool (you too Craske).

Well done to new team mate Jose on his first Oldie podium, may there be many more to follow Grin

Congrats to podiums & finishers, big thanks to all that let me lap them, sorry to a couple where I think I misread their intentions Embarrassed. No harm done hopefully Undecided.

Cheers
Legzy

p.s. I'm liking this new Shark system, trying to win the Team title with only one driver allowed to finish each race. It'll certainly keep it closer for longer  punk Grin

Qualied mid pack of the GTCs and managed to get round the formation lap without incident this time Roll Eyes

Decided to carry full fuel and monitor my tyres to determine my stop. Start was a little rushed with hardly enough time to get on the limiter before flooring it. Managed to keep position and eeked out a comfortable gap to jpv and Matt behind. Dave, McFids and Prof had better pace than me, but I was hoping they were on lighter fuel and that I'd be able to claw back as things panned out. As it happened I made a couple of costly errors just before my stop, which put paid to any chances of a battle later on.

My stop went well, but by this time I was getting tired and found it hard to concentrate, which led to a couple of silly spins late on. Fortunately I was able to hang on to 5th in class which all considered, I was quite happy with.

Seemed like a better track for the class mix. I didn't feel the need to get out of the way of the GT1s so often as the cornering speeds were very close and there were lots of straights where they could power past.

Another blistering display by SBG keeping the Crawlers at the top of the GTC board Cool Hope jpv and I can continue to amass a few points towards the team pot.

Congrats to both podies and finishers.  thumbup2

Must colate my thoughts into one post!

Yeah, what did happen at the start? barely had chance to engage the limiter and it caught Bob out as Blunder drove straight past him!

Good to see fellow teamie PR join us, more than can be said for other members of the team Wink I'm spending far too much time with the Oldies on TS, brainwashing me Grin

Was not expecting to come anything but last at this one. The Viper is not a good car for me at this track
Waited for PR to get going as long as I could before the other GTCs were looking like they were about to pass me.

No worries TT. mostly if a GT1 looks like he is making a move to pass I give room wherever it is
though I do appreciate people not trying to barge through mid corner unexpectedly.
At some tracks I would have got a cut track for going that far inside the kerb, but I had nothing, so is cool.

I occasionally seem to be having trouble with my Graphics. I am begining to think it's temp related, though
It only ever happens in an online race, never in qual on line or off line. If I scared people by freeezing just over
the line on the final lap, sorry, I had a black screen with engine noise. I just slowed and hoped to have stopped.

No need to apologise Spanner. It was a fair move. Smiley

A poor race for me last night. I never got into any sort of grove and was off the pace consistently. I think the combination of a busy weekend and a heavy cold were to blame. That's my excuse anyway!

Congrats to the podium finishers and to Gsi Bob on a good top ten finish for Team Supersonic.

GT1's were very good although I did get a rather funny clattering from Jon, thought it might have been team tactics  Wink laugh

Almost forgot Embarrassed Was totally to blame. For an instant I thought you were giving me a bit of room to go through but I just misread the situation . Apologies, I should've been more cautious and waited Embarrassed

then when i caught up with the gtc leaders it all went a bit pear shaped went a bit to fast into a corner had to do a bit of dodging then ended up in the tyre wall in flames Sad

congrates to the winners  Wink

Well done Jose!! Your the man!  Cheesy

Best race for a long time...
Trying to think why but....
Have now got 550 setup's from an 'Alien' - load and go! for all the main circuits!
I have limited time and hate being slow just cos I can't set up a car! I try!  Wink

Makes a big difference to me mentally as I then know I have no excuses for being slow!  Grin
Was just about on pace and was following Legzy's 3 way scrap for ages, very close racing, great fun.
Pit stop must have been slower than others as I lost a couple of places.
Then had a great scrap with nsfast for the last half of the race.
Did get past you in the first half of the race Richard but it was tough the second time!  Cheesy
We swapped position a few times, Great fun, was sorry to see you dissappear!  Sad

Finishing 11th after a few good scraps, ticks all my boxes as it feels like that is a reflection of my talent! ( or lack of it! )

Thanks all

M.
