Kids rang my phone constantly expecting me to pick them up from school. If I didn't quit, I think I'd hear an earful from the wife all night. Better to save the win for another day. No points tonight anyways. Sorry I had to bail.

Was fun holding people up for the 1st 7 or so laps, but I span myself & had to wait for all to pass. I hung around for about another 5 laps, but it seemed like I was destined to a lonely race from then on... once I had a little knock on the car, I needed no further excuse to quit out. Hope others enjoyed it more.

Sorry i had to leave the race early. Got a mate who is seriously ill in hospital so had to take the call when it rang. Great track, great cars...but too many alfas i dont think saloon cars should be mixed in with GT cars personally, unless there are two classes competing for points.

Welcome Dan You'll have fun here but remember to read announcement in future The Alfa vs 250 fight (not sure what happened to Mike :'() was tricky but fun. For first serious run in 250, I was delighted to be hanging on to Paul and it would have been interesting but, alas, it wasn't to be. Its a great little car that. I never felt really comfortable defending against the Alfas but it was only a fun run and hopefully that confidence can be built with a few good runs before S2 (?). A couple of fun races should help me

Great race, had very close battles throughout. Sorry to Bill, bumped near the end as Tim and I were closing in to lap. I guess you were about to let us through, but I was too busy racing to notice that.

The worst first entrance imaginable..... Wrong car;not responding to chat messages from moderator;chatting during qually and before everyone had finished etc etc. Yes I know I know, these are about the worst sins a simdriver can commit. I feel deeply embarrassed and I am writing to you from a hole in the ground where I have been hiding since race end.
Sorry chaps, won´t happen again. It can´t be a lack of experience as some could confirm, so it must have been the age !
I´ll do better next time. Cheers, (senior)Dan.
Ps. Tony, I sent you a pm but I am not sure I it reached you. Could you let me know, please ?

Results & Replay in the usual placesBetter that you get it wrong in this one Dan then in a real event I've DQ'd you as your car was not eligible to race, but I've left your fastest lap detail there (currently) so you have an idea of your pace. Hope to see you at Donington in a legit car

That was huge fun and increased my experience of close battles with these beasts by about 300%.
I don’t think that I caused too much trouble and thanks to everyone that I encountered for some good clean fun. I did think that I may have given JPV a helping hand to exit stage right but having looked at the replay I see that he put a wheel on the grass and did it all on his own.
I know that Tim was dogging my footsteps for a long time and that I was trying to catch Ade’s E-Type at the end but who the rest of you were I haven’t a clue. 90% of you being a red Alfa with number fifty on the door didn’t help much either.
I shall have to get my elbows out and be more aggressive at the start. I was mugged again by about half a dozen cars before I had found a slot that I felt secure in. I was also very wary over the first two laps, waiting for my tyres to heat up. Another handful of you took advantage of that as well.
So is it pedal cars at Donnington Legzy?

Clive, do you have labels turned on? (normally set to TAB).

Crivens! Give me another six years and I might have found all the whistles and bells. Can you switch it on and off during a race? Don't think that I want anything floating about above the cars all the time. Thanks Paul.

Yes, tab just toggles it. I tend to just turn in on and leave it. After a while you just get used to it, and it also helps you see cars in the distance and when they are hidden (over brows, in the pits, etc).

That was a lot of fun! I had done virtually no practice so plumped for a car I could keep on track, so went for the sensible choice -Alfa. Once I sorted out the brakes it was good to go I spent most of the first part of the race trying to catch Clive, but he pulled away after I drove too hard a few times and spent the rest of my time battling it out with JPV and Phil, JPV passed me a few times but I usually got by when he went wide at a turn. Sorry to Truetom, I gave you a nudge in the hairpin, and I'm sure I tangled with JPV & Phil at least once. I'm already looking forward to the next race at Donnington!

Also in a race it shows you the position of the car you're racing, making it much easier to work out if you're being lapped/lapping someone. Like Paul, I leave it on during a race.
