All my wet weather practises have had the rain set at 100%.

Ok, I assume that the weather will be done just like we do for UKGTR league races really? So you get the starting conditions generated by the weather service when the server is started and all the random seeding and so on will be generated by the magic weather script. No one will know what the weather will do as it's changeable and open to the randomness generated by the game right?

Just wanted to check that you're not generating the weather by hand or anything.

Personally I don't care what the weather does and I won't be doing any wet weather practice, what's the point? Surely it's the same as always, rain = slow down, rain = brake earlier, rain = accelerate less. Why do I need to practice having some common sense? Wink

I've run lots of wet laps offline in the 906 and found it easy enough to adapt to the conditions.

However, I've just come off the wet server and things are very different: at dusk the spray from just one GT40 is enough to obscure marker boards and it's extremely difficult to pick out the Mulsanne kink. Even with tabs switched on and checking the rear view, I heard approaching cars before I saw them, by which time they were almost upon me.

If we have rain, I predict visibility will be the main issue.

Samb has had to drop out leaving a Ford GT40 MkII without a driver. Any takers?

Very much looking forward to this  Cool

My main concern is how fragile the suspension is on the GT40 mk2. Any light brushes of the armco damages it and you end up running with a wonky steering wheel. A pitstop to fix it costs about 2minutes !...i tried !!

Hope everyone takes adequate care on the first few laps. Its a long race and no one wants to get nerfed off early on. Take care when slipstreaming as they are very hard to stop at the end of the longer straights!
Try not to just bail out if you damage your car...limp back to the pits and fix it. Even a two minute repair wont eliminate your chances over such a endurance distance as others may have their own issues as fatigue or loss of concentration catches out the unwary. Lets keep a full grid so that everyone can enjoy a decent race against others.  Smiley

Porsche 1977  Cool

Interesting to note that the slower cars stick to the right hand side of the track on the mulsanne. Worth enforcing tonight? Might help avoid rear end collisions. Though of course everyone should be able to stay left before the mulsanne kink.
