Car: Dallara Indycar
Track: Watkins Glen (Boot)

Practice: approx. 18:00 for 135 mins
Qualifying: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30 (49 laps, approx 80 mins)

Start: rolling
UNLIMITED 'fast tows' (resets) available for each driver (available by pressing SHIFT+R by default)

NOTE: All sessions protected by the main password, there is no seperate 'pre-event practice'

A couple of notes re. Blue Flags during qualifying and race where they differ from GTR2;

Blue Flags during qualifying - if you see a blue flag during qualifying it will be on your outlap and the driver approaching is on a hotlap. Please take this into account and act accordingly. The driver behind does not know you are on an outlap so no rash moves out of the way please  Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.

Blue Flags during the race -  if you see a blue flag during the race it means the driver approaching is about to lap you. Please take this into account and act accordingly. It differs from GTR2 in that you will not be penalised for not allowing the lapping driver to pass within a certain period. The flag is informational only. Usual SRouk rules / guidelines should be applied.

A quick glance says that Dave Gymer can do high 1.34s in practice and mid 1.36s in race spec.

I've not had enough time in the Dallara and can't even remember racing Watkins Glen, but I've posted mid 32s with low fuel and 34s in the race.

Indeed, and Watkins Glen. It better be good Smiley

Can someone direct me to an idjuts guide to iR pitting please? A setup for an idjut would be nice as well.

Drive into pit lane. Stop in box. Wait for go. Go. You can fiddle with fuel load too but if you time your stop right you won't need to.

SBG - Pitting in a practice session is exactly the same as pitting in a race so it's easy to try it out.

I have Watkins already & it is good, but...
I know the Indy has been selected for this race & 50% of our league racing next season, but from what I understand, it wont be the best thing for racing (i.e. you get little warning of being on the edge, so how can you race closely Huh)... more just a very very very fast drive. It's racing that interests me not just driving fast. So I have pretty much decided I'm going to opt out on purchasing the IndyCar for now & invest in the Mazda instead, as I think I'll get more from it.

Blunder has kindly offered me a go in any of his content, so I'll take him up on that & make the final decision then Smiley.

IMHO it's easier to drive close to the edge than the Mazda, which I find has very little feel even with it's new aero and tyre package. And much, much easier than the Lotus 79. laugh

Watkins is also a good place for it because all the banked corners help you stay on. Just watch the launch ramp curbs on the exit of the Inner Loop. Wink Shocked

Chris is referring to my opinion on it. I find the Mazda better than the Indycar because it moves about a bit. The Indycar is very stable up to a point, but beyond that it gets quite tricky IMO. Each to his own I suppose  Smiley

I find Dallara easier to drive than Skip. Don't know about Mazda, though. Undecided
