Start-  Clutch in selected 1st gear and the car jumped forward giving me a jump start!!  Angry
Exactly the same thing happened to me! wonder if it's a bug with the Dallara and Watkins?

One of the other cars does the same - DP I think. I always press the brake when selecting 1st gear just in case...

Thought I had my foot on the brake, maybe I didn't  clown

I did exactly the same thing, but I got away with it. I think I must have jumped on the brakes quick enough not to get a stop go when I realised the car jolted forward.

I think when you race these things enough you remember all this kind of stuff so you have your foot on the brake and so on.

It's not normally a problem in the IndyCar because the official races all use rolling starts.

iRacing is the only sim ive ever played that makes your  road car feel strange after .   I used to get it when i raced karts it made the van feel like a boat on the drive home.  Just shows how good it is!!

He he, yes, used to get that with the bikes. Spend all day getting your arms pulled off and your bum kicked by acceleration, then get in the van to go home and you think the throttle cable has snapped!!

Seems pretty realistic actually, a lot of race cars would behave like that. As Simon mentioned, you'll soon remember to apply the brake whenever you engage gear. I think the Watkins grid is slightly sloped downhill, which doesn't help.

While you're on a role Popabawa, do you fancy posting the results from this race Wink (it'll come off the 'forthcoming events list' then)
