Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 131s

Mr Oily follows Don into the last corner on lap 1. He is pretty close and looking to set up a pass. Don for whatever reason loses more speed than normal on the way into the corner and Mr Oily gets caught out, hitting Don from behind and taking them both off.

Looking at the speeds of the cars, Don lost a lot of speed quite early, but on other laps in practice and qual Don was quite a bit quicker at the same point. Most other drivers also didn't lose speed so quickly at this point on the track. This is certainly a mitigating factor. Mr Oily was close but no closer than several other drivers at that point in the race, so it is hard to say that he should have hung back more. Don didn't have a client replay and it was not possible to look at his control inputs, so I feel I have to give some benefit of doubt to Mr Oily. Having said that it was lap 1 when extra caution is needed, so a warning seems a fair compromise.

Server replay time: 398s

Spanner (Mark Ekins) has had a spin at the last corner and is slow down the straight. Ian Bassi is chasing nsfast (Richard Ames) and catching Spanner into T1. Richard comes across from the left at the last moment to avoid Spanner and this catches Ian out, who slides wide under braking and into Spanner. Given the tricky situation all the drivers found themselves in and the fact that Spanner requested no penalty, I think it is best to call this one a racing incident.

Manchester's more like the Arctic Circle at the moment so looks like I have a day free to practice! If anyone else is about and fancies it just drop a post here and I'll host a session.

LOL, well I would join you, but I MADE IT INTO WORK! Wink  You big southern jessie - God gave you legs for days like these (and for pressing pedals the rest of the time).

I was lucky that St. Bernard was passing I tell you or would never have made it home in time to watch my SR tumble some more.

The server should now be up.

I may have to miss this though as my youngest has a bad sickness bug and racing isn't going to win me many brownie points with swmbo. Perhaps it is for the best as it will make the last race a much better championship decider.

The track really is quite bumpy around here and seems to throw the car around a fair bit. That last corner as well, if you get the bounce wrong and end up loosing the back end Shocked

I find Lime Rock the hardest track in the game. Just when you think you're comfortable with it, you'll get caught out and fall off.  Grin It's those nasty bumps half way through corners or just on the exit of a corner that tempt you into using the throttle only to prove that you should have waited. :'(

I know its a new sim but that was truly hopeless from where I sat Lips Sealed

In quali don't pull outta pits in front of people and do not (this one bugs me) slow others after your lap is binned. Race going well until a lappee span in front of me and ruined it but I can forgive honest mistakes. Thoughtless stuff in quali I can't.

O well onwards and sideways.

ive had it with this poxy sim, it causes me nothing but grief considering the money it costs  Angry

Same story, great for 15mins at 86fps, then a big shudder and everyone goes in shudder mode and fps is at 29-36.
Restart pc and tried daves suggestion again of removing the swap file, great for about 5mins, get to qually session then first fps goes up and down like a yoyo then stupid steering loses 900 degree lock and reverts to 450, then finally fps melt down once more. Grrrrr Sad

One thing i did notice when fps drops is the 3 bars at top right of screen, the bottom one shows a length of red bar..what does that symbolise?
Still cannot fathom whether its gfx related problem or an internet connection problem. Again only for this sim, no others.

Tried to remain calm, slow and stay on the track...but as expected one mistake and the End.  Angry

I'm going to stay clear of this track in future.

I think this track & car combo is quite tough, I'm looking forward to the Speccy @ Lime Rock next week, they work well together.
