Great find PR, but what is that style of racing?

BTW here's some footage from when Psuedo raced here Wink http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EM712rZiAY

1-I used to see a few Australian touring car races on MOTORSTV a few years ago and they run
a large field of different HP cars, they used to start with the less powered cars and so on,
what was fun was that after 10 laps they were almost all battling for the win.

2-That might be a public server for sure... Grin

Think I might make a return here, love this short little track, got the itch to drive GTL over the holidays but not very many people around on public servers so this'll be a well timed dose of GTL.

Love the videos, I particularly like the Fiat 131 pulling off to the side before the race started in PRs - I used to have one of those....it took me back seeing one being parking up to await recovery...never happened to me...

As for that pile up...that's never happened in GTL. Roll Eyes

1:06.6 in the Cobra, did lots of laps, its a beast to control, worse to drive than the bigblock one!
A tenth or two slower in the Elan which is so easy and consistent in comparison and only low 08s in the E-type, although I was learning the track in that one.

So did I back in the old freeview days - it was great.  V8s, Uts, GT cars, allsorts - none of this PC stuff black smoke on acceleration and sheets of flame on the overrun a great spectacle.

Can't make this race or many other Tuesdays, so regretably it will probably be just the Thursday P&G races for me at the moment.  Sad

Sadly wont be here for this one, I love learning new tracks (& by the sounds of it, this is a good one!) but I've not had a chance to get on Pukekohe at all, so will be doing the familiar iR event this time.

Replay and results posted

Well what we lacked in numbers we made up for in quality, eh guys?

Superb track, must race here again!

Thanks to all those who turned up. It would have been tricky testing the random grid thing on me own  laugh

BTW Random grid worked a treat (I had pole)  Grin

And I was last on the grid ! Was a great little track though, I made too many silly mistakes early on to challenge much
caught Phil and Tony then promptly got wobbly in the 1st chicane and took ages to get off the grass
did the same thing again later! Had some fun dicing with Steve (top marks for giving up the Cobra for the Jag)
then got in his way into T1, was a good recipe for some cool racing though.

Dissapointing turnout? you missed a cracker chaps.

Excellent track, brilliant car choice.   Cool
This track deserved a lot more drivers on it.
Nice race, very enjoyable with Steve and Phil, thanks both for the fair fight.
Well done Goldtop for your pace and to all finishers.  Smiley

Cheers

Brilliant race, one of the best I've had in GTL. Lots of good, close fights. Pity about the low turnout but with iR in competition I fear grids will be smaller this season.

Looks like we lost out to iR tonight chaps, which is a shame because the track/car combination was excellent Cool Still, well done to those who did turn out.

Steve was clearly much quicker in the Cobra than I was in the Elan, but opted to battle it out in the Jag  I Am Not Worthy Had a nice little battle for the first couple of laps, but was able to pull away once I'd hit the front for what turned out to be a surprisingly easy win.

No problems to report with the random grid, although my XD seemed a little confused showing 2 or 3 DNFs all the way through the race Huh

Be nice to see this track again Smiley
