Yeah that was great fun dicing closely with many people, at least until my concentration failed and I couldn't control the car!  Cobra would have been boring, zoom off and then start crashing, not my idea of fun.

Not a good sign for league racing, being out of energy by half distance, as soon as the tyres went off my sluggish reactions couldn't balance the car.  Oh well.  Had so many offs decided to pit with 10 to go and put on fresh tyres, but couldn't even beat earlier times on full tanks.  And crashed a lot.  Until I got a stop go which I decided to ignore.

It was good to race closely, though I'm clearly very race rusty I never used to instantly start tightening up once I overtook someone, I was like a noob!

Hope GTL doesn't get abandoned too much, it's the only sim I have any enthusiasm for, even uninstalled P&G I enjoyed it so little.

A pity about the low turn out - please don't give up on GTL folks.

I was under practiced, even to the extent I hadn't decided whether it was better to use top or 3rd for T1.  The random start was different - I was 3rd on grid.  Made a reasonable start but was soon gobbled up by the faster drivers. On lap 3 or 4 took T1 too fast and drifted too far to the left for the chicane and got a cut track warning.  After that I had to be more carefull until Tony pitted and I pasted him.  He started to catch me so I pushed and got another cut track warning, then I spun on the second part of chicane and was back to last.  Where I finished.

I was too inconsistent again but it was nice when I got the chicane right and did the last part and the following right hander in one nice turn.

I wanted to take part, but was not in the mood for racing after I logged in. Ran a couple of laps with E-Type and since I was totally lost of what car to pick, I decided to park it there and do something else. Great to hear you had a good race!

Looks like we lost out to iR tonight chaps
I'm not so sure. There were only two maybe three drivers racing iR last night that would normally turn up for GTL. I think it was just one of those things last night chaps, where people didn't make it for what ever reason (as evident from some peoples posts). Quite common for people not to show for fun/test races... I'm certain that for the 1st GTL league race, you could easily expect to double last nights attendance.

Sounds like you had a good race anyway guys, disappointed I didn't have time to have a go at this track. Next time.

Good to see you planning to take on some GTL Purdie Cool (Tony, ban him from any Porka's Wink)

Perhaps with all that snow last night and lack of grit, drivers couldn't get their cars to the track  Roll Eyes - it is a long drive.  angel
