In case you have been away from GTL, there have been GTL lobby problems. But.... it's all fixed now!

This is what you do to connect to the server:

1) Download & run this HOSTS HACK
2) Start GTL & select to the lobby
3) Register a new lobby account (I suggest the same name but with a blank email & password)
4) Log in with your new account & you should see a list of servers

euro

If this fix has not worked for you, then please check out this thread for more info/questions: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=6869.msg119486#msg119486

But most importantly, do not suffer in silence (also, don't leave it till the Tuesday night Wink).

All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (25 laps = ~40mins)

Track: Hockenheim GP
Cars allowed: Porsche 935 Download here, Porsche 934 Download here, BMW CSL GR.5 & Turbo Download here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: OFF
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: UKGTL REPLI-race
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) This race will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(5) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Would be nice if you explained it all a bit further Tony. Is this just a test for the cars? As I wouldnt have thought the 934 would compete with the Group 5 monsters.

Yes sure.

This is a test race to check that there are no gremlins associated with these new mods. It's good practise to test the mods on a standard circuit at least once before we use them "in anger".

I don't think so as it arrived in 1977 (willing to be corrected  angel)

I'm sure that the 320 will show up sometime in 2010  Wink
