Welcome to the UKPnG Season Two kick off.
PnG will now be running on Thursday nights & will have two series that will alternate weeks. We start with week one of the Classic Cup, that will be run just like GTL has been run for the last few seasons (each week will be a different small group of roughly equal cars).
You'll notice that the line up for this season opener is identical to the inter-league race with MARA the night before, so any problems... blame SBG

Found the start lights.
Just put in a better lap than my best yesterday. I've come to the conclusion, that at least with the Jag and the way I drive, the car's on the limit and the slightest error gives me an off. I guess I need wider tracks to give more tolerance for error.

Unfortunately I have no VDA guys available for the 1st race... Saidness... It's a pity, but we have the other Italian P&G champ on Thursdays, and I think we'll gonna jump a lot of races... Maybe I'm going to retire the VDA team if I have no drivers for thursdays, and we will race only when we can... Makes no sense to have a team without drivers available every race... Hope to see you soon in some free Thursdays... have fun guys Cu

was thinking last night (dangerous i know ) but shouldnt we be being a bit more restrictive in car 'year' choice for these championship races ? At present we just say Z06 is available, for example, but there are 3 or 4 in there at 1963? and 1 at 1965 which is clearly faster, whereas the newest Jag E-type available is a '63 for any of them, and we all know how much development gets done in two years of motor racing and yet we have them able to race each other in one race. So shouldnt we therefore set a ceiling on the years available? That should make the racing closer as it will narrow down the margins of any car being that much quicker than the rest of the field. Cant remember offhand, but are there several Shelby daytona coupe release years? That car was clearly faster than the rest of the Goodwood field last night....ban it

I wont be removing any cars from the selection list MJ. I thought about removing some to make it a tighter group when I posted the race, but it would be unfair to ask people to prepare two separate cars for back to back nights. It's only one race & people are aware of which cars are faster & that if they pick the latest year, it'll probably have some advantage. A tighter selection will be resumed next race. Hopefully.

As I was the only one "lucky" enough to be allocated a Daytona last night, so might have more practice in it etc "If" I am the only person with one for the race, I will use something else, even though I have had no setup time yet in anything else. I suspect it will be quite popular though...

Just thought I'd remind people of the server name, as it's not quite the same as previously

Aarhgg, Missed the first race to technical failure :'( Just 45 minutes before race I had a problem with my G25 wheel and had a strange issue with the button assignment Checked my settings of the wheel and somehow when I want to change a button (break, gas, clutch, whateven) and I click it with my mouse , the button is inmediately assigned to my left mouse button Click another button and that one is assigned to the left mouse button. Started GTL , same problem. GTR2 also ........ Re-installed the drivers but no success. Does anyone has a clue where what the problem might be ?

Had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting the stationary car in front of me Punted off track at the end of the 2nd lap and decided to call it a night.

Managed to get my 1st ever pole .... but with 5mins left, my game CTD'd So was starting 3rd last after blowing my one flying lap I squeezed in. Managed to get myself up to 5th & had been comfortably holding that when.... CTD Loved driving the Daytona, I wanted to take it when we raced here nearly a year back, but I was too fast in it... so was nice to get the chance this time. Just gutted it was all cut short. This was about the 3rd race in six that's happened to me too (once accross each of the sims GTR2/PnG/GTL) :'( Hope the rest of you enjoyed it. Good to see a pretty mixed grid, just seven Daytona's I think it was. Which isn't too bad for a 25 car grid. I assume Ian will go on to win, so congrats to you mate... but I'm sure you know who was going to get that one (Paul knew it & bottled it)
