Moderator's Report

Some chat was noticed in qualifying, which is against the rules and extremely distracting for drivers who are concentrating on their qualifying lap.

Also, where chat is allowed in practice, drivers should not attempt to discuss an incident or aportion any blame for an incident which happens on track.

Server replay time: 608s

PaulW can't avoid the frozen car of Edza and gets into the gravel trap. He then gets hit by Aagramn who succesfully avoided the frozen car of Edza. There was nothing Aagramn could have done to avoid PaulW.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 626s

PaulW makes his way out of the gravel trap after his contact with the frozen car of Edza. The mistake he makes here is that he gets onto the racing line too soon making contact with Enz13_GT.

Because this incident was unreported by the victim there will be no penalty, but please note that this would have been a 3 place penalty if reported by Enz13_GT. Please make sure the track is clear before you get onto the racing line.

  • PaulWpenalty — Bad rejoin — 3 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 983s

PaulW and Picnic were racing side by side through the last couple of corners. PaulW decides to take the racing line, but is barely ahead of Picnic, and clips the front end of Picnic's car in the second to last corner, sending himself off.

  • PaulWwarning — contact with Picnic
  • PaulWadvice — if you're on the outside, when in doubt, yield the corner

Server replay time: 1132s

Gerald is following Aagramn at the front straight. Then he gets a run on him and tries to out-brake him into turn 1. Unfortunately he locks his front brakes and runs into Aagramn. Gerald was fully alongside Aagramn at the turn in point and could have made a clean if aggressive pass if he hadn't locked his brakes.

Server replay time: 1298s

Pedro is following JM-Racing down the front straight. JM starts braking into turn 1 and is then rear ended by Pedro.

Pedro had enough time and room to brake, but chose a very late braking point considering there was a lapped car in front.

  • Pedro[PL]penalty — rear ending JM-Racing — 2 places lost
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Server replay time: 1353s

JonM_uk and Mo are getting into La Caixa. Mo is almost next to him when he locks his front and rear brakes. He then runs into the side of JonM_uk.

  • mocaution — contact with JonM
For advice only - unreported by victim, so penalty disregarded

Thought i'd best put some practice in for the start of Season 2. I'm ditching the common F360 and taking the Morgan instead to make a change for myself (keeps the interest up).

I've always liked the way the Morgan drives, but it's always come out a little slower than the Ferrari so I've not used it.

So i set about my task of setting up the Morgan properly and giving it a real go. I really like the car and to my complete shock I just beat my F360 PB (albeit by about 0.03), fantastic. More of the same please come Tuesday night.  Smiley

Made me realise I still love driving GTR, even though I have the lovely GTL now. Oooh the choices!

Well, I've got all my spybot, ad-aware, zonealarm, logitech and microsoft updates installed.
Purged my system of anything that might interupt my race night.
Fine tuned my MOMO wheel and pedals (had to use that new pedal fix - an absolute godsend!).
Raced a few Barcelona races and ended up the last one driving cause others got bored or something (hate those public servers!)

Bought new pairs of socks...(gotta be comfortable Wink )

...Edza...start your engine!!!!

Cannot wait to see yez all on the track tomorrow night guys.

Best of luck to all and here's to an incident free race. (I'm terrified of the first corner already!)

N1 Simon. Did you file some of the wood off to make it go that fast?  Wink

Will probably give the Mosler a spin tomorrow if there is room on the server, to add a little variety to the grid.

Are Vertigo and Mosler supposed to be faster than Porsche 911 GT3-RS / F360?

Are Vertigo and Mosler supposed to be faster than Porsche 911 GT3-RS / F360?

No. Vertigo is the slowest NGT. Mosler is slightly slower than the F360 and 911 but not by much. Mosler has loads of torque, but less downforce than the main NGTs. Vertigo is a nice little car, but you have to learn that the Vertigo is all about braking late and carrying loads more corner speed as it doesn't have the straight line speed of the others. Although it has excellent tyre wear.

Thanks, I think I'll try a Porsche 911 GT3-RS for this season. Whole season.  Wink

Vertigo is a nice little car, but you have to learn that the Vertigo is all about braking late and carrying loads more corner speed as it doesn't have the straight line speed of the others.

It also has much lower tyre wear than any of the other NGT cars.

Yay Tom, with Mark taking a 911 too there should be a much more healthy showing of 911's on the grid this season.

I wouldn't recommend running those things in the backround when driving GTR online.

I guess it is quite difficult to get below 1.44 with Morgan on Barcelona, thus my pick would still be F360. I just hope there will be an empty place on grid today as I am registered as reserve for nGT Sad

But possible as proven in last Sprint Cup nGT edition qualifications. My current PB is 1.44.172 - of course I have not practised much as my status is "Reserve" Cheesy
