I guess it depends on what others do as well I cant do under 24 in the cuda regular, and it's easier to get 24s in the big 500, but they are for me at least quite close at this track. All my times are race fuel Oh, by numbers I meant KW not your times

Many appologies to those I hit this evening. Unfortunately, the race was the 1st laps I took in the car and it was far, far from what I was expecting. Changing the car left me severly unprepared. This would have been a great race if others stuck to the suggestion of top 8 in the slower GT500.
I WILL NEVER HANDICAP MYSELF going forward unless I am required to do so. I will happily crush the field in the best car available if my driving ability allows it.

My 1st ever GTL win... actually my 1st ever Historic win! Chuffed to bits with that. Being away, I'd only had a chance to practice one car & it was the Cuda as it's always fun. Lucky I remembered the track well from last time here, very good track... obviously an instant favourite now Started about 5th & lost a couple of places being cautious through the 1st few bends, but slowly started picking up a few positions. Till I got up behind PR... just couldn't get past . But after constant pressure (I'll credit myself ) he finally cracked & tickled the wall at T1, which was enough to see me past. From there it was just a case of not making a mistake all race (very very rare for me). While I was chuffed with my pace (pb in qually then race), it was funny to see at least four drivers had a quicker fastest lap! Cheers guys, will remember that race.

As I have been taking a slower option in some recent races, and I am hardly the fastest driver, I decided to drive whatever I liked best, if the Cuda had been slower than the 500 I would still have taken it. I was encouraged by some including Mike to change to a 500, so I did, and had an enjoyable if slightly frustrating race IMHO if the faster people had all taken the slow 500 (which I think should not have been there at all) it would have been like the GT1 - GTC races we do, that is two races on the same track at the same time. As I had an enforced spin (no prob) and a head on with someone driving the wrong direction I probably would have had more fun if I'd taken the Cuda I started with. If a faster driver opts to take a slower car so they can have more mid field fun, it's a choice not a requirement and may well mean they do not finish in the top 3. Depends on whether you are racing for fun or points. Whatever, I had a good tussle trying to keep API behind, then trying to reel in Sid, and Marco, in my

Well that turned out to be bit of a cracker I thought. Congrats to legzy on his historic historical win , must be the 1st of many eh? The switch betwwen praccy and race was a bit lumpy but it looks like everyone had enough time to prepare and I was relieved to see a full grid. I get 2nd (I've been really lucky with random grid) and had a fab first part of the race in fact I'm rushing this so that I can watch the replay. But coming to the end of the back straight I had to avoid a spinner (Mike Miller as it turns out) but just clipped them, sorry. Tried my best to miss you. Then after that I had a spell with Tibs just in front of me and API behind. Coming down that same back straight I missed my braking point and took to the grass, bounced of an outraged worm and headed into the wall. Limped to the pits with a puncture but carried on cos it was just such fun Thanks everyone who turned out, but be warned, next time were at a very very tricky track and I dare say Mike Miller is already practising Sorry to Marco Casadei but you weren't recognised by the system. You new dude?

I've already raced here in P&G earlier this year with Race 2 Play so I'll warm up the day of the race. I should be able to prepare a setup in an hour.

was in the lead while Legzy was hunting me, at lap 5, Dick Dastarly and Mutley (they are working for another driver now, after I fired them) pushed the chicane wall into my car. I had hit and almost lost the lead to Marco and Legzy. At lap 7 Dick and Mutley worked a bit better and pushed the wall harder and I hit harder. Result, suspension and steering jammed. To drive straight I had to steer about 1/8 the wheel to the left. By this second hit, my engine health was on 1%, therefore I knew that another hit, even a slighty one would kill it. So, between lap 7 and 22 I was struggling to keep the 2nd place and leaving behind me a smokescreen, which I believe it was from the weak engine. After all, was fun and the track is quite good to race, lets roll into the the next one. Congrats for the win Sir Legzy, nice consistent pace. Well done Matt for your podium and to all finishers. Cheers

If a faster driver opts to take a slower car so they can have more mid field fun, it's a choice not a requirement
Actually it was 'back of the field fun', eh Bill and Laurie? Great stuff. It was fantastic stuff Phil. My start was parc, the car in front was slow moving and I bogged down my engine, then chugged away as the two cars behind me on the grid flew by. Over compensated, in my rush to catch up, by braking too late at two places and everybody had sailed off into the blue. After that put my head down and concentrated and slowly caught up with Laurie who didn't contest T1 letting me through. Slowly drew away and then there he was right behind me into the last turn, after that we had a battle to the finish. Along the way we caught up to Phil and closed up, he then drew away and I closed up, by the end we were almost wheel to wheel. On the last lap I closed up again but got baulked by an orange car limping to the finish trailing smoke; the lift off and nudge ruined a grandstand finish. Never mind eh it was good fun. Nice car/track combination Tony and thanks Phil for driving the socks off a lesser car. Bill
