In case you have been away from GTL, there have been GTL lobby problems. But.... it's all fixed now!

This is what you do to connect to the server:

1) Download & run this HOSTS HACK
2) Start GTL & select to the lobby
3) Register a new lobby account (I suggest the same name but with a blank email & password)
4) Log in with your new account & you should see a list of servers

euro

If this fix has not worked for you, then please check out this thread for more info/questions: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=6869.msg119486#msg119486

But most importantly, do not suffer in silence (also, don't leave it till the Tuesday night Wink).

All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (50 laps = ~70mins)

Track: VALLELUNGA Download here

Cars allowed: Porsche 935 Download here, Porsche 934 Download here, BMW CSL GR.5 & Turbo Download here, Porsche 911 RSR, De Tomaso Pantera, Ford Escort RS2000, Porsche 914-6

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: ON (Get the Porsche 935 tyre wear fix here)
Fuel consumption: 2x

Server: UKGTL REPLI-race
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) This race will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(5) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Just to get the ball rolling.........low 1:18's in the Turby Beemer with full tank.

Very quick track where knowing your braking distances will be crucial

I have managed to work my time down to 1:21.2 this morning in the CSL Turbo.  Grin  I think getting the entry into the sequence of corners is equally as important as the braking  - push too hard in the corner and I'm all screwed up for the second.  Huh eek

Still haven't decided what/if I will be driving here. Fall off every other lap in the CSL/935 or trundle round at the back again in the non turbo CSL/RSR.  Roll Eyes

Hope to be on the server later tonight.

Nahh it's rear engined, I only do rear engined when there's nowt else. (Except Alpine maybe...)
Tried 935, after 15 mins I had still not completed a lap, so I will stick with the "safe"   Shocked Turbeemer

Can't join the server, actually can't join any race in the Lobby most of the time
If I am able to join, it drops me and reconnects imediately. If I sit in the lobby it
keeps recconecting it every few minutes.
I can do PG on lione no probs.
