Made a fillet of the start by jumping it by 3 nanosecs, took a stop go, came out last
work to do then, caught up lots, was up to 4th after stops, then went very short shift to make
sure I got to the finish without another stop, had a little over onelap of fuel with 2 to go
splash and dash then out to find that as I had been lapped I only had err one to go
lost 4th in the pits to Phil
Still was a fun race.

Firstly I'd like to address the most important point of the day....can cats really follow GTL races!? I haven't quite worked it out yet but I knew there was something going on there. Might explain your CSL times too! You're obviously using at least one of them to perfect some kind of seamless heel toe shift aren't you?

Anyway as I can't prove your cats are helping you cheat just yet (I'm closing in Wink), well done mate - nice win, I could not keep up with you but thoroughly enjoyed trying!

Got a decent qually position at the final hour and managed to get a jump on the MUCH faster sq8ter as everyone careered off wide at Copse on cold tires. He was so fast it was almost embarrassing holding him up but as I knew he'd be half an hour down the road in no time I had no shame and drove as defensive as I could without actually swerving. Sorry mate, had to be done  Grin

My good man Ade had experienced problems of some sort so he'd dropped back a bit leaving a charging PR the next one back. I half expected to see him catch right up but at first I managed to maintain the gap at about 3 secs and this eventually rose to 6'ish. Turns out he was being smart and I wasn't...completely killing my tyres by sliding about too much I had to stop on lap 20, a bit earlier than planned.

Who could be silly enough to spin in the pitlane PR!? Oh yeah, me too Grin.

Came out well down the pack and 5 laps later things settled down and I saw Paulo pit. I knew it was going to be close but I rounded Copse just as he left the pitlane and ended up right on his bumper, thinking I might have a speed advantage for a few laps but I was quite wrong about that! I was trying Paulo trust me, just couldn't keep up and in doing so got on the grass a couple of times which earned me a stop and go, ending the battle early Sad

Served my penalty but a few laps later it randomly DQ'd me for ignoring it so that was game over.

Grats to Sq8ter, you were awesomely quick mate and well done Ade for the final podium spot. Good to be back with Spanner too and a big welcome to the German chaps - don't think we'll be making it that easy for you in future Wink

Thanks to WT for organising a sweet combination and unlucky Jimbo - could have been some good battling in store if it wasn't for your lead foot on the grid Wink
