A quick 'bump' to remind you egg-fans this is on for tomorrow.

I did a few practice laps yesterday. I can get down to around 14.2 in Q set and hopefully I can run sub 14.5's in the race.

14 second laps! With a full grid the last car will be getting the blue flags before the start of the race!

That's the nature of short track racing! Smiley Though the difference between a 'fast' car and a 'slow' car should only be a few tenths.

Lanier a very wide track, I chose it specifically for the first race because it should be easy to stay out of the way if needed.

I like the way you can spin and still get round in time to go through your own smoke.

I'm looking forward to giving this a go after the race tonight. Where is the late model this week for public races? Would be great to be able to practice with the unwashed.

Hoorah. Much less of a yawn fest without full yellows.

Booo. Just say no to resets. Wink

Will I be unpopular if I ignore the lap times and tyre wear and drift through both the corners? laugh

lol, that was fun. Great racing with Chris and Mike Cool

Started spluttering with 2 to go so dropped from 4th to 6th letting Dave and Martin past. Doh. My 'clever' gearing strategy failed miserably  Cheesy

As much as those cars are fun I'm afraid I just don't find racing the short track ovals much fun. I found this when I did a full season of them at iRacing that you don't actually race people very much because everyone has their own pace, there isn't anywhere to pick up time or lose time like there is in road racing and that's it. Once the race is going it all becomes very predictable.
