All members welcome

Practice 1: 19:20 (~60 mins)
Qual 2: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (25 laps (~40mins)) note: no warmup!

Cars allowed: 911 IROC

Weather: Dry
Track: Birmingham GP (Barber Long) (v1.0.0.0, download HERE )
Time of Day Setting: 12:00
Start: STANDING

Minimum Pit-stops: None required.

Server: UKPnG2.1 S2 Single
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Power and Glory v2 from here, 2.1 patch from here and enable terrain patch.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(5) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of every-one's connection will be reduced.
(6) Remember that P&G has no 'Pit Speed Limiter' function, but our gentleman's agreement is that everyone will stick to a speed limit for the pit-lane of 40mph/60kph.

Welcome to Round One of the "Shot Glass Challenge". Grin

Here you will be able to enjoy seven rounds of singles or doubles.... & as you can see from the post above, Week one is at Barber GP (Birmingham) in the 911 IROC's.

Basically this will be a series of single or duel spec races... Where if my PC keeps crashing on me mid race, I'll be needing a double or two! Lips Sealed. Weather & "x2" tyre/fuel will be used in "Doubles" races.

One of my favorite cars in P&G. I'm not sure if I can make this one. It's far in advance, but I've already got a meeting scheduled. Hopefully the partner will cancel. I barely made it to Goodwood. Maybe I can do the same here?

Sooooo predictible; everyone will obviously turn up in the fastest car (the black one) and we'll have close racing throughout the field.  Roll Eyes Grin

Can everyone remember to start this time Grin

Same here PR, I have yet to figure out how to drive it & it has very limited adjustments, so you have to adapt to the car rather than adapting the car to suit you.

You are right Geoffers, it's a lovely car, but indeed we must adapt to its special driving behavior.

"Black one" ... I didn't know there were differences in the cars. I thought it was supposed to be a spec series in the states. I've been driving the white one all this time.

Just love it when someone takes me seriously Wink

Thinking about this, in real life the number of coats required for a finish might vary depending on the colour and thus affect the weight slightly. Certainly with 50's Fender guitars (which used Dupont cellulose car paints) the black ones had fewer layers. Some say as a result they sound better - guess what colour guitars I prefer Grin

Now if PnG were to replicate this, I'd be very impressed Cheesy

I might skip this one. I can't drive it. I spun two, three times at each lap.
Quite frustrating to be honest.  Roll Eyes

Paulo, are you using the plr patcher that came packed with PnG? It makes a massive difference to the feel.

I've just discovered that although I thought I've been using it for the last 6 months, in fact I wasn't because I hadn't run the exe properly. Roll Eyes It's worth checking, because I could never see what all the fuss was about the IROC until just now and was completely useless in it.

Persevere Paulo, you have to make it dance with the throttle, its not one of those lumbering monsters you like driving like the Jag Mk2  Wink  Grin
