Moderator's Report

Both Truetom and Darren chose to vent their frustration though the in-game communications while the race was in progress.

Truetom's language was unacceptable so a warning has been issued.

Darren's was rather less offensive but still violated the guidelines for the race so has been dropped to a caution.

Both incidents were quite out of character for the drivers involved and that has been taken into consideration.

Server replay time: 240s

Stuart spins out while in the lead an, whilst attempting to rejoin, overshoots his intended line and straight into Darren.

Not enough care was being taken when there was a lot of traffic around. I think it would have been safer to rejoin on the next straight rather that in the turn.

I believe this was a genuine mistake and that Stuart was attempting to re-join safely so the penalty is reduced to 1 place.

I jumped in for a little practice and simply can't remember this track.

Only did 8 laps and everyone was full of mistakes and did a 2.58.1. I hate trying to guess what I could do on the basis of a not so perfect lap.

The Skip seems really alive here and tail out action is the way to go again.

A little concerned about my PC and internet.

I'm in St Andrews and it's back to BT connection and no longer cable like my normal racing home.

Firstly my connection dropped right off in Vette race earlier but came back after 10 secs in the red when everyone disappeared.

Then my PC crashed again. It happens once every now and again with the Vette being the normal culprit. Never does it crash twice in the one day even after running all day after a crash.

I managed to fry one and a half power supplies,
One and a half! Thats quite a feat Grin

The one is fried so good and hard that the power rocker switch no longer sticks in the off position. Shocked The half is probably fried and I'll do what I always do with suspected dodgy PSUs - chuck it away.

I've now unbroken my PC with a new mobo, PSU and 5870. All in a lovely new CoolerMaster HAF-932 case. Just got to clear out a space next to my desk for it to live in, since it's too heavy to be lifting it up behind my monitors where the old one lived.

Great track! Should be a fun race.... just need to avoid mid-corner lifting through panicking when the guy in front gets a tank-slapper on!  laugh

Huge apologies to Darren Seal for my extremely ill-judged rejoin.  I tried to stay on the outside but the rear tyres bit and pitched me across the track.  I should have waited.  Sorry Darren.

Talk about hero to zero!!  Got my first pole then binned it on lap one, took out Darren rejoining then had to wait a bizarre 4 minutes 30 seconds for a tow!!  As soon as I saw that I gave up.

How is the tow time calculated?  Any ideas?  Gary came in the at the same time and left after about 30 seconds!!

Great fun with some nice close racing for a good few laps with Paul (sorry again for the slight rear ender at the hairpin) and Robert before being punted off (no hard feelings at this end Robert, one of those things!) and then lost my concetration a bit.

Got back into it chasing after Iain and Donald and had a great scrap with Iain for a few laps before getting past at T1 and then promptly spinning off at T4.  Another off saw me smack the barrier and with a late tow ended up last of the finishers Sad  Should have done better really, my incident tally tells it all really.

Well done to Brian on the win.

Cheers, Ross.

Stuart I'd been sitting there for a minute already.

Stupid on my part, the spin was clumsy and thankfully everyone missed me, crashing when being too hasty trying to overtake James was stupid, bent suspension saw me needing a tow.

On the plus side the resultant drive was bloody good fun.

Oh and Paul R how did you launch that thing off the line, my start seemed better than the front row but yours was ballistic.

Congrats to all

Gary

PS sorry for the heart attack Dave

Wow!  What a race!  Grin

I didn't count on getting very far after getting disconnected 3 times during practice.  It threatened to drop me twice during the race, but it held together and I'm glad it did!

Had a scrap with Robert until he spun off, then it was down to holding off Paul until the end of the race.  Both of us pushing like crazy!  Improved my PB by 0.8s  Shocked

I knew that if he got past, I wouldn't see him again.  Great race Paul, thanks!

I reset my router just before qualifying as I'm using BT here and I thought the thing was not going to restart.

Once it did restart there was only 9 mins to go. I did my outlap and then was on a flyer only to spin at the last bend.

Picked up pace but backed out on the straight as Purdie had more speed and was going to pass.

I stopped and reset forgetting there was little time left.

After my outlap I realised time was tight for a fast lap it it must have been down to the last second.

Not the best lap but good enough for 2nd.

Gifted the lead on lap one and some other bumps left Paul Richards and myself with a little gap.

Felt at 2.57s that was quick enough and I eased away a little.

Soon Paul lifted the game and I needed to respond and that required mid 56s which I could do.

The gap remained constant between 2.5-3secs for the next 7 laps before Paul went ultra attacking and set some outstanding times the last few laps.

It was another close fought battle with Paul as per usual but it was sad to see so many front runners drop out early.
