Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 358s

Legzy runs off the track and lets Spanner through before rejoining. On the next left curve he makes minimal contact with H@L causing H@L an unexpected trip into the barrier.
Due to the fact that H@L requested no penalty and Legzy took a drive through anyway, I propose no further action.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 998s

GsiBob goes very wide on the penultimate right hand bend giving the possibility of a better entry into the last corner and start/finish straight. Although this is not repeated on every lap, he does this multiple times during the race.

This corner has been subject of much debate in the past. The SROU rules say the following:
•Under normal circumstances the simulation's internal cut detection will be relied upon to police the cutting of chicanes and other corners.
Drivers are strongly discouraged from the deliberate placing of one or more wheels on areas of grass, gravel and sand.
Clear and deliberate cutting which evades detection by the simulation may still result in a penalty.

  • gsi bobadvice — Keep to track boundaries where possible.

Server replay time: 1010s

GsiBob gets a good run down the start/finish straight and makes contact with SbG. Ginsters is forced to run wide off track and loses a place.
GsiBob spends the rest of the lap racing with Simon's Lotus and does not immediately return the place.
A straightforward case of rear end contact with a slight mitigation that Bob was under control and able to brake later than SbG.

  • gsi bobpenalty — Rear end contact — 1 place lost

Server replay time: 2638s

Odd one this.
A backmarker spins in front of Legzy causing Legzy to slow for a moment at the end of the lap. Jayblue and Truetom and coming up to lap and are racing very closely. Jayblue is able to avoid easily but Truetom only sees Legzy very late and contact in inevitable due to the vast difference in speed.
As Truetom is not really racing Legzy, he does not wait and re-joins battle with Jayblue. Legzy is not at fault having been slowed but just appears in the wrong place at the wrong time as the leaders sweep through I'm afraid.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 3527s

GsiBob's car is lagging badly in this phase of the race. His car disapperars and reappears at the end of the straight. Api hits the lagging car and is flipped losing time and position.
I intend to deal with the general issue of GsiBob lagging during this race in this section as it is the only specific incident together with more genaral comments from several racers. It is not the first time GsiBob has had these problems during a race although it is acknowledged that he has made efforts to counter the effect.
People lagging are usually asked to leave and re-join through the on-screen message system or by Teamspeak and given his history of this problem it would be advisable if Bob had left this feature switched on so people could warn him. Warping can spoil the race of many people and there is the option to exclude lagging people from the race if it happens too frequently.

  • gsi bobcaution — Do all you can to avoid warping when racing - keep coms on.

I think dynamic weather from S11 is the best weather we had so far. So what if there were many rainy races - it was winter. Now there'll be spring and it will be rainy all over again.  blink  Erm, ok... Cheesy
Would like it to stay like it was, with some exceptions with fixed weather, like:
- Dubai = always dry
- Spa = always a drizzle
- Valencia = always dry

etc.

Something for all. Smiley

- Spa = always a drizzle

Spa = Micro climate, just like Nurb.

Should be very changable. (hint, hint Grin)

Definately good to have the first race of the season as dry.

I thought I'd have a bash with the Spyker this season, and pre-race practice suggested I wasn't too far off the pace.

But come qualifying I seemed to have lost a couple of seconds of pace compared to everyone else, and rather than tooling round at the back getting in the way of the faster GT3s (with a headache, I might add) I decided to give up my place to Herr Burtmacher who was waiting hopefully in the lobby.

Think I will step down from all GTR2 for this season; I seem to have lost my mojo at the moment. Undecided

Damn, that was a rubbish start to S12 for me!

Qualified ok, and was running alright in the race, but after about 15 laps my left knee got reeally sore (and remains so now) - which made it difficult to brake that well, caused me to spin a few times.

Got hit once being lapped, and managed to incure 2 stop/go penalties, was hoping to trouble the podium (and it was looking likely near the start) and ended up dead last!

Oh well, onwards and upwards...see if i can work out why my knee hurts so much though!

Sorry to David Lips Sealed I thought after running slightly wide you were letting me through, clearly not.

The rest of the race will be in a series reports if I can be bothered to look at replay. Not bothering with this series any more seems a better option at the mo.

In as far as I always enjoy a Enduro when I get to race people in bith halves, (usually I lose at least 30 secs to
everyone elses magic fast stops) Top marks to NSFast for hustling the Viper round so well, got in a few peoples
way while racing for position, those Porches stop and turn in a hell of a lot better than the big heavy front engined VIpe
Mostly a good clean race, only contact was minor and was an attack from behind, 5.6 secs repair as I would have taken
that long to cancel it.

Enjoyed our little battle of the Vipers in the first half. Not sure why I gained so much time at the pitstop. Although, I cut it a bit tight with the fuel and had to back off in the second half. 1L left at the end  Shocked

From what I can see the GT3's are shapping up nicely this season. If only the Viper wasn't so thirsty!  Wink

Congrats to the podiums.

Think that was me Matt Embarrassed I thought you'd made a mistake going into the corner and I tried to take advantage, but made a bit of a mess of it. Sorry for that Sad I then lifted half expecting you to spin and was caught by Lazlow which spun me off. Thanks for waiting Lazlow; it was as at least as much my doing as yours really and a consequence of my incident with Matt.

I had someone spin in front of me at Mercedes (might have been David) and did the classic "aim for them and you'll miss" but hit him side on which also spun me off. Hope it didn't cause too much damage.

Bob was having major warping problems again which caused me a few heart stopping moments. He kept appearing/disappearing in front and behind me at one stage to the extent that I gave up worrying about contact; if it happened it happened Roll Eyes API was not so lucky as he was launched into orbit right in front of me Shocked

One of the most tiring races I can recall and one of those where I had to keep remembering to breathe. Had to stop for a splash with a couple to go, so I totally lost track of where I eventually finished. I remember letting through at least two cars thinking they were lapping when actually it was for position Roll Eyes Definitely one to forget.

Congrats to podies and finishers.

Suprised myself in quali... breaking into the 25s and gettings 3rd  Cheesy ..... and then it was downhill from there  laugh

Started with a full tank hoping for a long first stint. This only works if you don't keep falling off the track, but I did! Led the race for a fews laps because everyone had pitted but when I came out I was back to 6th  Undecided I had made up some lost ground since little fuel was needed and was hoping for a duel with Jose (looked quite damaged) but I hit the lagging vertigo  Lips Sealed on the LH hairpin...

Grats to Jayblue and gr with Jose, TT, Berger and Spanner  Smiley Was a fun race and it felt like Carrera Cup with all the 911s! Except that lone Z4  Roll Eyes  Wink

Thanks to all GTC guys while lapping...... very polite! So much so I felt guilty sometimes lol.... I think this track is ideal for slow GT cars but multi-class with slow GT cars makes for an interestng experience  Cool
