Track's 'orible and only tried the Mustang so far.  2:53 with the default setup.

EDIT:  I tried to do a 20min race last night on x4 fuel and tyres.  After five laps I came in for my stop and the silly game told me that I had won!

Lol can't agree with that Clive  Smiley There are some fiddly bits but there is a bit of everything which means I enjoy this track, especially during a quick go in the Stang. What a job you have pleasing us all Legzy (don't use the Elan and I'll be happy Smiley ).

Is the server the same settings as race? Sorry but I couldn't spot how to check that when I joined.

I think it's a great circuit. At first I was afraid, I was petrified, thinking I could never race this long, side by side. Oops had bit of an Oily moment then.

The server is set to actual race settings. Hope that's ok Legzy?

You can check by clicking on RULES after selecting the track.

Track's 'orible

Not my cup of tea either Clive. no thumbdown

Bill

PS.  Putting my practice efforts into driving the BMW CSL Turbo in Tuesday's GTL Race, that is much more fun than trying to drive a 21 turn event which is more like a tarmac rally stage.

I think it's a great track for the Alpina .... doing a 1.53.00 now. A pitstop with no change of tyres, just refueling for 6 laps will cost the mustang 30 seconds and another 15 to enteri and leave the pit ( at 80km/hour ) I wonder if the Mustang will be able to be gain almost 3 sec/lap on the Alpina?

Stig / Hotkeys

I really do hope that's a 2:53 or I'm giving up now!

As for the circuit, there is no need for a proper racing circuit to be any longer than about a 2 minute lap.  Anything else is suffering from Nurburg Syndrome and as Bill has said is actually a tarmac rally stage.

To make matters worse it has poxy chicanes with curbs that can be driven over!  Euk!!!!

BTW Was the server having a hissy fit last night?  It wouldn't run properly, moving one second burst.  The circuit was ok for me offline.

I admire a bloke that puts some thought/effort into working something like this out. Well done Stig.

I'm gutted I can't make this one. I love trying out new ideas & I think it's a cracking track for racing, worked really well in previous races I done here. While comparing this track (2:50 a lap) to Nords (11:30 a lap) is just stupid  Roll Eyes IMO. This track is like 3x the width the entire way round!

Done the rally section in 2:50.003 but still getting surprised by which corner comes next.

Perhaps I need my wife to read pace notes for me!

I'm back guys!!!

Seems that my surgery operation is gone well! But I have to learn to drive with the keybord just to have some fun with you!
I'll try during these days if it's possible for my driving here and see if I'll be able to not be a danger for all of you. If I reach this target, I'll try to fight for the last position, and have some fun on the track... Let's see what happens with the keybord...
Cu soon on the server! Bye bye!

Well done Manteos.

You need the Nat Wald approach.  He used a Thrustmaster wheel with analogue paddles that he used for throttle and brake.  Never used his feet at all.

I'm sorry to hear of your injury Manteos and I hope you recover soon.

Personally, I'd strongly advise against racing with a keyboard as your controller; you will be off pace and could be a danger to others. Clive's suggestion of using your wheel and assigning buttons for throttle/brake would be a much better idea, although changing gears would add to the difficulty. In this situation, I would persevere with trying to use your good foot for throttle and brake as this would surely be more immersive for you and is likely to be more effective.

Hope you are able to find a way to join us. At least this time I stand a chance of beating you Grin
