I'm wondering whether to bother running next weeks event (planned to be Late Model @ Oxford Plains).

I think we had 8 drivers last time but at least 2 said they didn't really enjoy it (so I assume won't bother next time?).

Just looking for a show of hands to see if there's enough interest really.

Thanks.

I think this raises a bigger question about the league - should we be advertising outside of the league to attract members for some of these series?

I would have been there but was out that night. Also as it's an extra night's racing it's not always so easy to find the time, especially for a fun race.

I must admit that I would probably rather do a scheduled iRacing race than do a low attendance oval here. As other have said, the field gets rather spread out.

Next week I need to get four Lime Rock races in when the Late Models do their only road week of the season, so I'll very likely be doing that.

I only intended them to run fortnightly Martin so there wasn't planned to be one this week anyway.

As it stands, unless there's a big upswell of support over the weekend, I don't think we'll run any more of these events. There doesn't seem to be enough interest.

If someone else wants to take up the mantle then feel free.

now you're planning one for next Wed & I can't make it that night :'(

Quite a decent car/track combination that though, raced it on the servers last week a few times Cheesy

You could do 4 TTs and have the same thing in a fraction of the time. You only need the MPR and you will get auto promotion.

Thinking about it, you could have done it last week since you had the track.

Yes, but that would be boring, and given that I seem to be reasonably handy in the Monte Carlo on road courses I should be able to kick some egg racing bottoms next week. Grin

Boring? A TT, even on the current long oval is only 5 minutes! The warmup in a race is no shorter!

Since joining last week I have bought 3 new tracks, got my oval rookie license up to 3.69 and love it. Should get my D license in a few days. I will be up for racing on the ovals soon Smiley
