The most stupid move goes to me, believe me.
After have joined the server I wasn't sure that a GTR2 practice server had been shutdown so I left the server to check the T7 server and shutdown GTR2, only to find out that someone had taken my place when I resumed the focus on Igor.
Well, next one.
Sorry about that Fulvio. I have made a habit of checking what's on the server a while before we use it so no need to worry next time...

Well, the one that took your place fpolicardi was me. When I came to join the server was full. Oh shit I thought, I had notified that I was going to be late and now they let in some reserve. And then all of a sudden there was only 19 on the server so I jumped in.

When it come to the race I was in a "safe" p4 and just thought that the grass looked nice so I went there just to find that Steve didn't so he overtook me and then I tried to get the position back but could not so it was p5 over the finishline. But sins the rockers didn't do any better then Steve it didn't really matter.

I'm not sure to understand what you have said Tim, anyway there was a GTR2 server running that takes cpu load even if it's in idle. Now I have to see who started it and when.

I enjoyed this race, it's been a while since I raced last.

I knew I'd be slow, so I just wanted to finish and stay out of peoples way. I had a small battle with Brookie and made a clean pass on him, which I wasn't try to pass at that point and I think he let me though, so thank you.

It was all for nothing as I had my one and only spin a few laps later. Apart from that I had a lonely race, but it went quickly and I was happy to finish.

Great "FUN" Race guys, Grats to everyone who took part.

My (alleged!!) teammate Hristo decided that I was too much of a threat and after I made a complete screw up of the entry to T2 and had my Honda under less than 50% control going down the hill on lap 1, he stuck his Cooper up the inside and clipped me into the boondocks!!.  lol Undecided

By the time I had extracated myself from the barbed wire and brambles I was almost last, but I could not see exactly where i was because of that thick red mist that descends over Mosport at this time of year!!! Roll Eyes

The rest of the race was a blast  Grin I picked up a few places very quickly but as i got nearer and nearer to the front the opposition naturally was travelling faster and the passes were more difficult. Hristo was away and safe barring mechanical failure but I thought there was an outside chance of catching King Hiro.. but passing him before the chequered flag might be a problem.

As we finished the penultimate lap I got around the outside of him on the last corner and we were side by side as we crossed the line to start the last lap. It was about then that someone turned the world upside down!!  or it was some greasy rocker who hit me with something??

I think the sand on the outside of turn 1, where I landed, needs replacing, as it tasted like the local cats had made it their favourite spot?? Huh

I recovered ahead of King, and managed to limp around the last lap to claim 2nd spot for the Mods.

Grats to  the Mods for showing those greasy rockers that parkas are more aerodynamic than leathers  Wink lol and thanks to Tim and Billy for organising the fun.

Hey, hey, you turned 50 meters earlier into T2, went across the infield, went wide and so the inside line was clear, but then you just turned back in as if nobody was there. Read the situation!  Grin

I tried to avoid you when I saw you turning back in but it was too late at that moment.

Anyway, after getting pole (which I didn't expect), I bogged down at the start because of my tall 1st gear (meant for use at the hairpin). Then that thing with Evil happened and it seems he was the only one that had the same pace as me (or better).

After opening a gap to KH, I eased up a bit and kinda wanted for Evil to emerge up to 2nd so we can have some battle. While distracting myself with other stuff I braked too late for T3 and went wide, which elected KH up to 2nd and Wheatley/Baab (sorry if I'm writing your name wrong) was right behind me, putting extra pressure.

Eventually he went off and then I was trying to find a way around KH, but he was quite fast, especially on the straights, so as long as he didn't make any mistakes I don't think I could've made any passing attempts.

He sort of messed up the exit of T2 at one point though and I had a shot around the outside of T3, and I think he kinda let me go there, so I was back in 1st now with 10 laps or so to go.

Decide to push hard just to finish the race sooner and that's it really. Thought I had the fastest lap in the bag, but that Evil managed a tad better one.  Angry

Grats Mods!

It was fun, but could have been so much better.  I made the classic schoolboy error going down the hill on L1 and ran wide.  I wanted to rejoin safely and not trash anyones race so got back on track not far behind evil who was throwing large chunks of hedge out of his cockpit to gain a clear view of the 14 new mirrors he'd put on the Vespa Wazza....well he had to tidy his pretty boy hair too  Kiss .

Most of those up ahead made made a mistake and I managed to pick up several places by staying on track and keeping consistent.  I eventually found myself in 5th, behind Goran who went off in the final turn to give me 4th.

The closing 5 or so laps were great fun and high pressure.  Goran was closing steadily, I caught a couple of back markers in bad places which slowed me a little to allow Goran to catch right up, then he made a small mistake and I pulled out again, then he caught me again and I had to go defensive to keep the position (having learned the value of that from Phil at Monza Wink ) and managed to fend him off to hold 4th over the line.  Great fun.  Maybe the shape of things to come in Am's season 19!

All the 2 stroke oil on track must have slowed the proper rocker machines down and I was quite glad to have been 4th so I didn't have to share the statically charged shiny suit podium  Tongue

 Wink good fun guys.

Thanks to Bill and Tim for setting this all up.

Only just finished putting together my new PC so was a bit worried about the dreaded GPL install (I'd forgotten just how much of a pain it can be). Seemed OK at first but then started getting terrible lag/momentary lockups every few minutes which I (wrongly) assumed was the server. Profited well from the usual start carnage & instantly went from 10th to 5th. After that, had a very feisty Vos ducking & diving behind me for about half the race - we were pretty equally matched so was just about managing to stay ahead when suddenly entering T1 my screen went blank. I'd remembered to switch off the screensaver but had forgotten to turn off the default powersave settings - aaaaargh! Frantically got the screen back on & was amazed to find the car undamaged (was it definitely set on Pro? I took several big hits later on & didn't suffer any damage) but by the time I rejoined I'd lost loads of ground. Seemed to spend the rest of the race getting overtaken by Tim FMG and then passing his car as it emerged from various parts of the scenery. The lockups I was getting were very distracting (a consequence of the powersave trying to activate possibly?) & I had a spin that let Bernie through - was good fun trying to catch & pass him later on though. Congrats to top 3 & thanks to Tim & Bill for organising. Hope I'm better prepared for the next one.

Was happy with the way the cooper handled the twists and turns of the canadian rockers rockies,  but I made the silly mistake of upping the gear ratios in the interests of reliabilty , which left me running out of steam on the long straights  Undecided

Almost grabbed 2 more places on the final lap when Tim and Al fell over each other , but couldnt keep my car on the black stuff as I took desperate avoiding action.

Good race and very enjoyable , thanks for organising  Smiley

lol Hristo,

I was amazed that you did not hit me sooner because after I turned in too early and clouted that kerb, I was in no way responsible for anything that the car did for the rest of that bend!!!!! Cheesy
