When you say random, you actually mean seeded from the current conditions?

Looking at the forecast i would have said its likely to be wet in real life.

Voted dry.

Suzuka is another track with highly variables conditions IRL and its full rain season out there at the moment. Last time we were here it was bone dry if I recall correctly.

I have chosen proper endurance weather. Wink

varied all the way !  its what adds the strategy element and makes a long race interesting and un-predictable  Smiley
Though as someone has pointed out...its raining out there anyway! Fuji anyone?  Wink

I'd prefer constant weather but seeded from the real world. Too difficult to react to the changing conditions in the cockpit, but don't mind some rain every now and then. Of course preferably pick tracks from sunny places then. Tongue

Variable weather is just glory. The system of previous seasons in here is by far my all time favourite for GTR2 Smiley

I would like to return to the seeded real life weather as it was impossible to practice for the exact conditions which at the very least means no one can be accused of picking "the perfect car for the weather..."  Grin

Suzuka is a great track and i'm looking forward to racing here, regardless of what the weather does.

Hmm, well the poll result was rather close. I suspect that all 11 people who want variable weather will still drive if it's set dry; I'm not so sure that the 8 who voted dry will turn up if they smell rain in the air.

Therefore, I'm going to take the (probably unpopular Tongue) decision to declare this race dry.

Well, whatever you decide you'll have people moaning...and in this case it's me!

Doing a poll and then deciding to do the opposite of what the majority vote?! What was the point! Next time I'll vote "don't give a carp" coss it looks like votes don't mean much  Tongue

I'm not bothered either way, I'll race if it's bone dry or under water.

I used the phrase "clear mandate" in the original post - 11 versus 8 plus 3 abstentions is hardly a clear majority - it's a hung parliament (and I'd hang the lot, ooh, bit of politics there). I explained the reasoning above.

A dry race will be good, thanks Dave  Cool

Had a little more practice and i am really enjoying the track a lot, probably one of my all time favourites now. It has such a nice flow in the first sector. I hope now it is a dry event we return to getting a full grid and all have a great race.

Suzuka is good track! long time ago i did last race in suzuka, it was in GC, i was in lead with 30sec. before 2nd place, but i did make 2 stop/go in end of race Embarrassed , not good.
i can do nearly no practise for this race, very busy? weekend i have.
