Who knows. If it's on consoles then it'll be dumbed down, if not there's millions of other things that could be iffy. Hope I'm wrong and it's actually good.

I'm actually a beta tester for iOpener. I had trouble getting access to their server initially, it's sorted now, but I've been to busy iRacing to give it a proper try. Reading the comments on their forum I don't think anyone is blown away by the concept.

If it's Simbin who are on-board to develop it I suspect we'll finally see the fabled Lizard engine powering the game. It'll also be cross-platform and I would imagine incorporate the RTR/iOpener stuff.
I wonder how hard-core they would want to make a cross-platform title though?

Just look at the the whole Race series's. Seemed to me they were trying to cater to the mass puplic.

I do really hope they release a GT3 and GT4 aswell. Huge car variety and different weights and HPs. GT1 is fine but they all have the same weight and the same HP.

I must admit, I really liked Race Pro on the Xbox. Ok, its not a patch on the PC title but on physics alone and gameplay, its very very good for a console. I think Simbin did a very good job. I actually prefer it to Forza 3 which I find boring and tedious. Forza would win if you could pick any track, any class, difficulty settings and any length of race.

You can do all that in Forza 3, lol.

It is confirmed as a SimBin release, slated for 2011 release and it's 99% sure to be iOpener enabled.
The interesting news is that it will feature "extensive DLC", I suspect that won't go down well with the guys who have baulked at the iRacing business model.

It could also mean the death of iR if it's better in other aspects, like damage, weather and pitting.
