After 30 minutes each way the result was:

5 speed Lightweight E-Type  2:09.617
4 speed Lightweight E-Type  2:09.014

To be honest I think that the Mustang is easier to drive but that may just be my lack of setup skill, which is only matched by my lack of driving talent.

Which means that my E-Type Lightweight time of 2:12 is more than lack of driving skills.  Lips Sealed
Alright, I have done only 2 laps, but it is scary to see your times Clive.  Shocked

So, I only managed to do a time below 2:10 with the Cobra 289 and that is the car
I will drive. Hahahahahahaha  Tongue

Btw, the Lightweight is the only Jag that could (in the right hands) put the GT350 in trouble
around here.

hoping to finally get some laps in this eve. Does that mean we can use the Lightweight now? Would rather that with my limited time available than learning to hussle the yank tank around an unfamiliar track.

After seeing quite a few drivers in action tonight, the Jag Lightweight 4-Speed has been added to the available list.

Quote
Cars allowed: Shelby GT350 SCCA, Falcon Weslakeheads, E Type Jag Coupe/Roadster/Lightweight 4-Speed (not Lightweight 5-Speed).

Track: Portimão (Autodromo Internacional Algarve, v1.1.0.0) (download from here).
Just a reminder to people joining this thread late.... this is a quite new version of the track you need.

If you're getting booted endlessly when joining, that's probably why

The lightweight Jag looks good around here. I did some testing tonight and CTD twice. I'm going to turn down the detail a bit as well as change to DX8 in hopes of making it through the race with out a CTD. I'm also disabling SLI.

Look for me in some American iron smoking the rear tires. Speaking of smoking the rear tires, what detail settings (PLR) can I change so I can see more tire smoke from other players?

Don't worry, usually you are in front of the race..... Roll Eyes but if for any 'out of this world' reason I run in front of you, I promisse to spin wheels a lot, to give you lots of smoke.  Cheesy

Even setting everything to oversteer makes the car a dog. Cars seem very stiff at the front, no matter what you do with the setup, hardly notice any bodyroll.

Yeah where is the body roll,  Very strange not realistic at all...Running low 9's in the Lightweight after creating a very bizarre set up but gonna give it a miss as PnG just dont do it for me.

Good luck . Wink

Sorry folks, I won't be racing here tonight.  I've just run out of time this week - I've done a fresh install of GTL in Windows 7 to sort out my Xd problem.  Good news I'll be using my brand new SROU copy to race GTL in the future.

See y'all next race.

Can't help with the plr settings Mike, but if you try driving behind some of us you'll stand more chance of seeing our smoke Wink

You guys are cracking me up with the requests to drive behind. I'm thinking there has to be something. I smoke the tires an aweful lot and can even see my smoke in the rear view. I'm sure others are smoking the tires too, but think the graphics engine is toning down the smoke for fear of bringing graphics cards to their knees.

I set fire to a mini engine and had a near heart attack because I thought my gfx card had died!
