Because if there is no discrepency (or less than 4) then you don't need to go looking for extra incidents elsewhere on the laps where they are shown.

Even if we don't pick up every single incident, we'll have 90% of them covered, at the moment we're probably getting less than 10%.

Surely the individual lap thing for each driver would tell you what lap?

http://members.iracing.com/membersite/member/eventresult_laps.jsp?&subsessionid=1792827&custid=18351&simsessnum=0

Would be a rather long job though..

That was my laps from Silverstone race last night in Radicals

Yep, basically the same data, but would be quicker to work through as you'd have it all together.  Didn't even know you could get that info per driver already.

Cheers, Ross.

As you pointed out a few weeks ago when I asked about this, we can't get all the data, just the laps where things occur.

Sorry, I didn't make that very clear (the perils of rewording a post mid-flow!) - I meant the 'gaps' as in things which can't be done mechanically and need human intervention.

The trick, as ever, is to make the system do as much as possible - preferably including sending 'pro forma' incident reports.

Well, it would be fantastic if the system could do that, but I was only really expecting a tool to help the mods find the incidents quickly. You couldn't find a way to do the moderation too could you?  Grin

Pffft, you already have this in iR: "A guy hit me from behind and got +4 points. Yay, moderation finished!" Tongue

Maybe, but the data Rob pointed out has always been readily available and it would have taken seconds to scroll through a race result and note each drivers incidents. This new system sounds great though.

It's not hours of work going through each drivers laps but it's not that much fun either, you have to remember us mods are incredibly lazy so anything that involves less work is a big help Wink

Ross, I'm not sure if the output you linked to was meant to be complete for that race but there seems to be some incidents missing...

e.g. Don (iRacing ID = 16545) doesn't appear on the chart at all but he had car contact on lap 1 or 2.

Hmm, odd - I did knock that one together quite quickly with just manual manipulation of the data so I'm not sure why that's missing but I'll check it out.

Cheers, Ross.

Could it have been a 0x?
