Lol, those are old records!  No wonder, I've raced Pero and boy was he fast, and we all know about Ruskus!

Still, there's something aliens find round this track that us fast-but-mortals don't, I'm about 1.8s off their pace, and look at the E-type race there are records up for, me, Madd and Bara all similar and JR almost one and a half seconds quicker!  We ain't going to be breaking any of those records in a hurry.   Shocked

Shame Nurby was always one of the worst stock tracks for fps, I'm solidly in the 30-40fps range with my back-up rig so I think I will do my best to stay well clear of anybody off the start when I fear stuttering...

Can't get near those lap times, a few laps tonight in the Alfa got me a best of 1.49.1! Really disappointed with that, I can do 1.48.5 in the Mini!  Huh

Fun race, I am officially even more rubbish than usual at this layout, i don't really do German tracks well
except perhaps Nords where I can follow the map fairly well. I can't do Hock either. Must be the accent on the corners or something.
Astonishing pace from the front runners even if there was some gratuitous kerbing, most people were to some
extent, so they must have been flying one way or another. Great turn out for the birthday event, thanks to all those
non regulars who made the effort.

Good fun tonight Smiley Was nice to be racing standard car/track combo and I think proves that there is still great racing to be had in GTL.  Cool

Was just keeping ahead of Ade early on and looked like we might be up for a racelong alfatina battle until I overcooked it in T1 and spun back inside collecting him. Sorry again buddy and hope I didn't slow you down too much. Nice also to see a few of our GTLDK friends again.

Congrats to pody and finishers. Hope it's at least another 4 years before we see Pero again Wink Grin alien

Just to echo what's already been said. Mr Pero is a seriously fast gentleman, well done the other pods. Thanks to everyone who turned out especially the older faces.
I saw lots of good close racing (and some misshaps  laugh).
I had a gloriously long chase with Alex. Before that I had been cough "helped" cough around a corner by a Mr Robey. Close calls with Bill too especially at the hairpin. Alex met my tank slapper full on and that put us both out for a while, sorry mate.
All in all a great nights racing.
Thanks, got to go now I'm filling up  thumbup2

Pero is incredibly fast! I thought I knew how to drive, but this guy puts me to shame. Marco was also quick in race trim. Based on the pace, it looks like I would have joined the battle between Marco and Steve, but I haven't done a GTL start with stock cars in many, many years. I simply flubbed the start. I melted the rear tires off the line and got to the gas too hard, too early at the exit of turn 1. Luckily, nobody collected me as I slid across the track drivers right in front of the field. That put me dead last at the end of turn 1. It sure was fun coming through the field up to 4th though. It does get tougher to pass cars as you get closer to the front. Madd was the toughest. I probably should have waited a bit more, but I had such a good run I couldn't pass it up. It was a low percentage move tying the pass on the outside at the chicane. I fully expected you to boot me off, but was surprised to get away with very little contact. I enjoyed the battle with Geoffers, Madd-Rip, Navin and GoldTop.

Firstly I must give thanks for the invite to this race - I had time to do it and decided to have a go and relive some memories.
It all felt really fammiliar after probably 2008 - last time I raced GTL.
I didnt really know what to expect laptime wise, but I could get to terms with the Alfa quite easily and was soon in the 47's. It also shows that in the mean time I got a G25 and also a proper computer so I got some advantage there compared to the first race.
I am really happy to have been able to improve on the times me and Ruskus did that day.
Nice to see some familliar names again, just a bit of a shame Ruskus didnt come as I am preety sure that we would have an interesting race.
As for the cutting - I hope I was ok on those - not really used to it all anymore and I was being carefull to keep it clean.
Again tnx for the race - was fun  Smiley

Last race with GTL I did was on No Grip if I remember right - I think Geoffers was there as well.
As for currently - I do very little sim racing. Last thing I did was a rFactor gp79 cup on GRC about 2 to 3 months back. Before that I didnt do a race probably for almost a year. Dont really have the time for sim racing anymore.

Errr, yeah sorry about that, I was caught out when you slowed mid corner  Embarrassed

I really enjoyed tonight, despite having not found time to do any practice and not having run GTL for what seems ages...

I spent most of my time at the back racing Tony, Bill, and Alex in our own private race, the spins kept things interesting right to the end  Cheesy

That was race was a ton of fun. Was in a battle almost the whole way through. Nice driving Mike,Geoffers,Paulo,Madd and Phil. At one point Paulo,Geoffers and myself were all on top of each other for at least 3 laps straight till Paulo somehow found a glitch in a portion of the track which turned his car into a pole vault!! Complete endo flip. That was an unfortunate end of our 3 way battle Paulo. I'd say the Karma gods own you some good fortune in the future Wink

Brilliant race. Many thanks for putting this race on.
Nice to see 18 drivers at GTL.
Constant fights throughout race was fun and highly enjoyable. Many laps with Madd, Geoffers, Phil and Navin with astonishing and clean driving from all.
Unfortunately, I thought that Dick Dastarly and Mutley weren't present for a no-championship race.
I was wrong! They were at first corner, digging a hole....  w00t
Just when I got 4th place from Madd (great fight mate), I flipped over on the hole and I still hear Mutley's laughing today.  whistling
Rejoined at 9th and untill the end I had another great duel with Geoffers (again, last time I believe it was with the MKII 4.2 mod)  Wink untill Dick and Mutley, this time working on another section of the track, increased one kerb and Geoffers rolled over, unlucky.
All race was a blast. Congrats on your return and win Pero and well done to all drivers.

Cheers

Yes it was good fun racing at the back of the field with Tim, Tony and Alex.  Made a beautiful start, nice to be able to get the power down right away without having to worry about excessive wheel spin and snaking.  Went down the outside of a few cars including one with my left hand wheels on the grass - from the first corner it went down hill with too many unforced errors and spins.
