I really enjoyed that return to the old days, stock cars and tracks, brilliant.

Humbling to watch Pero's pace, I shall enjoy trying to learn something from the replay.  Smiley

Didn't really have much close racing, when Marco closed on me so rapidly I stayed wide at T1 both times as I saw no point in blocking someone at least half a second faster, better just to try and hang on to them, was pleased that towards the end of the race I was able to hold the gap at a second or so for several laps, I think my tyres were better, then the last 3 laps my concentration went and I fell right back.  But overall pleased to find some form for once.

I always used to jump the chicane, driving to the game's cut warnings (I know we actually agreed this at the L4 race) but I actually found this time, with experience, that rather than straightlining the chicane with neutral throttle it was quicker to turn in slower and keep the left wheel just on the track on the second kerb, as you could maintain full throttle from entry. Although I did I overshoot a few times and completely run over the kerb, but actually lost time each time!

I had a gloriously long chase with Alex. Before that I had been cough "helped" cough around a corner by a Mr Robey. Close calls with Bill too especially at the hairpin. Alex met my tank slapper full on and that put us both out for a while, sorry mate.
All in all a great nights racing.
Thanks, got to go now I'm filling up  thumbup2
No problem Tony. Managhed to dodge three incidents and this one I could not avoid.
Great race with all pushing it to and beyond the limits. Probably because everybody felt comfy with car/track.

After my 101th race (and still at the back  Grin ) I have to take a pause because of real life events (baby girl).
Hope to enter some events to race with my fellow-gentlemen drivers Tony, Bill, Tim, Sandor, Ligel, .. (you know who you are..  Wink) now and then.

Congrats Alex

As for the race, was an epic.  Grin  Had some tremendous racing with PR, Navin, Madd & Mike to name just a few. Unfortunately had 2 spins & a roll which dropped me well downfield at the end but was still a fun race. Hope to take in a few more GTL races in future, although time is limited in the summer months.

Congrats to Pero (great to see you again), Marco & Steve.  clap clap clap
