We wanted to let you know that we've taken the decision to moderate every incident of car contact in this race.

We've decided to do this for a number of reasons...

There are still too many incidents in the Skip Barber (specifically) series. The worst of which, of course, is car contact. This is leading to frustration and in the end, everyone not enjoying the racing as much as they should.

There is a feeling that the reporting system isn't dealing with the issue and can seem that drivers are being singled out. I have some sympathy with this view.

Less than half the incidents of car contact have been reported for this race.

Ross' stirling work on the automated incident identifier means that it's a much less laborious process for us to identify the incidents that need to be viewed and moderated.

So, when we do the moderation, reports will be created for every incident of car contact for those not already reported so drivers will have a chance to respond in the usual way.

I hope you'll support our decision to go down this route, we want to make the races safer and ultimately more fun for everyone.

I have been meaning to report my two incidents, but just haven't had time to cut the replay clips etc. I am otherwise engaged again tonight, so will miss the Dallara race, but that might give me a chance to do my reports later, can't promise mind!!
