I'm at 100% content but I want to stick with two series.

I just don't have time or the ability to jump from car to car.

What's the purpose of having a Season if we need to jump from car to car? Huh Can just as well use the public / official servers - plenty of such opportunities there. yawn

Another shout for using one car only.  Those that will have to buy content for next season would not thank you for having to buy 3 cars instead of just one.  I'd rather learn one car well than 3 cars roughly.

Just to clarify TT, I generally enjoy my racing with the SROU crowd more than anywhere else, the standard's high on the whole and the the moves are hard but fair - hence why I'm here. To be able to race a mix of the fantastic selection of iR cars with you guys would be the ideal for me at least, and just as with PnG or GTL for example (and GTR2 to a lesser extent) , where each week we have a different car to race in a season, I could see that format working. Of course it has to appeal to most or it's a non-starter, and I can certainly understand why it might not. I just didn't like writing it off on the basis we'd all suddenly start driving into each other as I don't believe that to be the case.

Fortunately it's that easy to host a session now that I can always throw up the occasional fun ad hoc one for the few SROU'ers who fancy a bit of variety so I shall cease urinating into the breeze on this one - as I said before, I'm happy to race whatever's chosen, unless of course we're presented with eggs every week in which case, screw you guys, I shall be going home.  Grin

Just to follow up... I can understand that view point (sticking to one car) if you enjoyed either of this seasons cars, but if you got no enjoyment with either car we used this season (having bought both because we were using them here) & so effectively got stuck with two carp options & so not doing a lot of racing Sad... Maybe you'd be able to see it from another point of view & understand why it would be smart/good for us to invest half a season to see what actually works for racing here. If people only want to buy two cars, great, just buy two cars & miss out on what you don't have. Because we stuck with the skippy/Indy plenty of people missed out.

A vote for what car you'd be prepared to drive gives you something, but it does not tell you what we would be best off using.

Mr Oily, Legzy, you got a point there. If the car is not enjoyable... Undecided But I was refering more to GTR2. Wink In iR there's always same car/class race yawn and the only choice to mix it up is to change cars. Though, you don't learn to drive / enjoy the car in two races. no You then only feel joy / regret for moving to the next one. It's like being a visitor at a welthy cousin and having to use all his toys in one hour, as you need to go home and not see him form another month. Cheesy

Thats fine and dandy Legzy however, I didn't race iR here any longer cause I believed standards were poor. How would putting people in a new car every week help with that? There's no way I'm gonna join races with people, including me, trying cars for maybe the first time given my experiences this season. If its just me, then fine Smiley

I think you are all right!

We did have a lot of pain in the Indy series but we are now all pretty good!  whistling  lol

So a few half seasons at least lets us all get comfortable and as legzy says may be we find that a particular combination gives us closer racing!?
We would all be happy then!? ( Some hope!  Wink )

It is quite possible to race closely without contact. I lost count of the number of position changes I had last night!

If I recall, you don't enjoy the late model... If that car wins the vote, I assume you'll either sit out the lower series or have a go at something that your not really enjoying... You may wish at that point you'd not put yourself in that position. Undecided

while if we stick to one car standards will magically improve & you'll be racing every week? Huh

With regards changing car every week, I would have assumed it would make more sence to try them each in back to back races. So Mazda for the first two, radical next two & late model to finish the season for example.

Whereas if we cycle, many of us will end up only doing a third or two thirds of the races and avoiding the cars we hate.

Well, I'm confident (ish) that the steps taken by pops will improve things for next season. Thats generally been the way with every sim we've adopted here I think. If you believe that different cars every week will continue that progress, I ain't gonna argue with you. I'm only judging things on my own standards and there is no way on earth I could race as well with a different car, week in, week out so there's no point in it for me.

Precisely Dave thanks. Nobody misses out on a whole season worth of races. Everyone would get to enjoy/participate in some of the ONE OFF TEST SEASON that would give us the data to help us make the best decision on what to race in future seasons.
Couldn't have put it better myself, cheers Dave. Cool
