I bumped in to Dave and Brian out there. Paul, so you obviously use iSpeed and no doubt you are well capable of a 1:12 lap, so how about a irlap file from you, please?

It can be distracting though when you want to really concentrate on putting in a good lap after you've figured out the best way to do it. I have to turn the monitor away to avoid the temptation of a quick look!! Yes, I know what you mean Paul, so you obviously use iSpeed and no doubt you are well capable of a 1:12 lap, so how about a irlap file from you, please? Sorry Ken, I've not been doing the Dallara series and haven't even turned a wheel at Laguna.

Well that turned out to be a waste of hours of practice. Got an amazing front row start, only to wind up stuck behind Mike after the first few corners. Came to the final left that leads up the hill, broke at the 2 board (earlier than Mike), instant snap spin into the tyres. Reset but with 5g more fuel on board the car was virtually undrivable - ride height too low. Quite after 2nd or 3rd spin before I took somebody else out. That's 3rd in the championship gone, along with any incentive to attempt the egg-shaped final round.

Why am I bothering... seriously?
I got ahead of Dave at the start as Paul made a break for it, only to see Dave spin off behind me. Started to pull away from Dan and was gaining on Paul! I was all over him and he was holding me up, so I decided to pit and try to leapfrog him with some fast laps.
Here's where it all went wrong. I selected the wrong fuel load for the stop. Started to push hard... and spun at the corkscrew. Dan came out ahead of me and spun off a few laps later. Then with 2 to go I realise I don't have enough fuel, into the pits and my whole race is undone.
I'm not bothering with the oval round.

Come on boys! Chins up! There are only a limited number of us and who knows if we will get to run the Indy in SROu again! Great fun race for me! Unfortunately 2 unforced half spins saw me drop a couple of places! the last one to Pops a lap before the end! I'm such a muppet! Great to do this after a week of potential public races. I arrive more prepared! Gizmos set up was brilliant but tried Mikes tonight and drop another half a second or so ! Perfect! The more I race the Indy, the more I love it! Once you get used to it, it's a pussy cat!

Joining the server 20 minutes before Qually with ZERO practise and NO setup wasn't the perfect preparation for a race... However, somehow I managed to pull out a 1:13.3 lap in qually and started the race in 5th... I was soon back in 7th before T1 as both Shark and Ken took advantage of a nervous start... I followed both for half the race before I hit Ken... Coming out of T2 I was on full power right behind him... Then all of a sudden Ken decided to stop.. Sorry for the contact Ken. I wasn't expected you to stop there, especially on the racing line... The contact knocked the steering out a tad but the car was still driveable.... No practise meant my pitstop strategy was nonexistent.... I pitted on lap 20 and somehow ended the race with 12g onboard... The last 10 or so laps were non-eventful... Simon was 17 seconds up the road and the next car behind me was over 30 seconds behind... Managed to finish in 4th... I'll take that Congrats to the podium...

That's 3rd in the championship gone, along with any incentive to attempt the egg-shaped final round. That'll teach you to type before you see the facts. You are still third because there were so few people that you still scored 24 points to keep yourself ahead of me. I had a consistent race starting with a new PB in qualifying and a new race PB too. Unfortunately I didn't race anyone until near the end when Dan's lap times dropped off. I never had a hope of going by though and felt like I was being toyed with tbh as he could extend a second out from me seemingly whenever he wanted to. I guessed his car was damaged, but it wasn't damaged enough. As for the final round, no thanks. I'm sure i could do well there, but I can't be arsed to sit through the inevitable chug chug behind the safety car for most of the race. See you next season hopefully, depending on car choice.

Oh FHS I'm still 3rd in the championship. Don't think I can possibly beat Shark on an oval though. There are only a limited number of us and who knows if we will get to run the Indy in SROu again!
I'm fine with never touching the blasted thing again. Like the Lotus, it takes hours of setup work, and is still ready to bite you at the earliest opportunity. And even with a good setup, it's barely possible to actually race anyone, instead of just sitting behind and hoping for them to go off. The more I race the Indy, the more I love it! Once you get used to it, it's a pussy cat! Stark raving mad. I can think of no other explanation.
