Just an observation really.

In my time I've been to quite a few forums covering many different subjects of life. In that time I have only known two communities (SROUK being one of them) that have not degenerated into rude & abusive slanging matches between other people.

It's not an easy task & should be underestimated either. Anybody who shares their opinions on here will generally be an 'opinionated so & so' whistling & there will always be plenty of clashes/misunderstandings, not just of ideas but sometimes personalities too. I think that the swearing rule plays a massive part, fun things like the "fish rule" (i.e. using 'carp') are great, the directors efforts are so important setting an example too.

But most of it I think comes down to the members who are all here for our common interest in good, fair simracing. I have been enjoying a really good friendly community spirit since my first day here & I know from Blunder it's was the same since he joined long before me.

I hope that the banter & community spirit continues to grow, as it's surely something we can all be very proud of.
