Sounds like I enjoyed the last race here laugh:
that was 80mins of blinding fun!

For the second week in a row, I've had a poor qually. Didn't manage to get within 1 sec of my race setup PB with my qually setup, regularly blowing laps where I was up buy 0.6 etc.  Angry
Effectively that meant that instead of being 2nd/3rd on the grid, I had to settle for 7th. But I would start the race confident that I could go faster & work my way up.

Well that was how it started... Gazza, MJ, Hal & me all within about a 20-30 meter spread for the 1st eighteen laps! Amazing stuff, till Gazza fell off. Then as I continued to pester Hal without being quick enough to make a pass, MJ started sneaking away. Hal had a little moment & I managed to sneak through just before everyone started to pit.

After my stop for 4 new tyres & fuel (yes MJ, I took on four new tyres & fuel... are you stopping for a cup of tea too? Wink), the car felt wrong. I think I had two little excursions/spins off & that let Hal back through. It wasn't long before I caught him again & stuck on his rear bumper for another 6/7 laps, but once more I just didn't get the opportunity to pass him (good driving Hal). Then I thought I'd blown it, going well well well wide at T1 as Hal disappeared down the main straight  :'(. Imagine my joy surprise to see a cloud of dust & Hal facing the wrong way at T3, gifting me back 4th spot. Unlucky mate.

Now with about 11 laps to go, I had MJ closing me down at pace. He had already worked the gap down to 5 secs & I knew I needed to pick up the pace to stay ahead. So I immediately lost concentration & got a cut track while losing 3secs  Roll Eyes, but from that moment I banged in good solid 1:30's & plonked my rear end where it needed to be to keep MJ behind me.
What a finish, what a race.  clap clap clap

Good luck this time MJ Tongue Wink

hmm, between my legendary pitstops  Roll Eyes and my overheating pc, there isnt much chance of a good result on the cards.  Sad
But will attend in the vain hope of some joy ! besides its colder than a witches t*t today so that may help with cooling  Tongue

grrr, cant believe my rotten luck in simracing lately. Was enjoying a cracking tussle with the two team oldie guys ahead and legz chasing behind, before he fell off  Wink.
Then on about lap6 or so, Jose's disco warping car came flying back towards me on the main straight, smashed my car clean off the track at top flat out speed and the car came to a halt wedged into the marshalls hut !! I couldnt reverse or drive out of it. Car was totally smashed up from the impact anyway  Angry

Track looked superb in the low light conditions too and was shaping up to be a race long battle with Jose and API. Gutted  :'(

Sadly the dullest race I've had for some time & all my own doing really.

Went off in the warm up lap & gave myself aero damage Roll Eyes & then basically went of every few laps Roll Eyes

Gave up after about 3/4 distance as I just didn't have anything to do (except fall off).

What a contrast to the last time here :'(

One of my fave tracks but has to be my least favourite car/track combo. Still, I haven't moaned at the bi-t friendly tracks Smiley

I couldn't even find the right tyres for quali let alone the race and plumped for a med/hard combo, hoping to save some time at pitstop. Bad choice that. Couldn't get them up to temps and they still wore out after 50 mins Smiley Did my best to hold up TT but he was much to fast for me. Congrats to him and API.

Again, shame about the turnout. Need to attract new faces somehow and soon Smiley

I think that was my first win ever on this circuit, was never really good here.
Qualified with a pb 2nd and thought it was lucky, was sure sbg's gonna just drive away in his BiT and 997s will eat me for breakfast on that long straight. Then F430 held surprisingly good through the corners and exit oriented setup made it competitive on that straight. NOT against BiT, though. Wink
First few laps brought us together with sbg, but on different parts of the track. He gained 0,5 s on that straight and I gained the same through the Carousell corner. After some laps sbg made a mistake and I got through. I don't think I could pass otherwise as I could come close in all the wrong places.
Then I was controlling my gap to API and was ok as it was slowly increasing to 10 seconds, then dropped to 3 after some errand in the sand. Roll Eyes Was losing 1 sec towards half so decided to pit and change tyres, add fuel. Gap was again close to 10 seconds, so expected to stay in front of API. Stopped in my stall, just pressed Enter. And ... forgot I had it set to pit closer to the end of the race. Roll Eyes Too much fuel and too much time lost, of course. Came out of pits and after API also pitted the gap was down to 3 seconds. Guess he also took soft tyres as the gap was dwindling down to nothing. Shocked  Last 20 minutes were a total chase with an occasional GT1 and GT2 car to make it a bit more interesting. Cheesy Only just managed to stay in front, that was some of the hardest work I did lately. Wink Great chase API. Cool

Great win in the Marcos, JR. Am dragged to that car but will resist it one more season as I want to drive C6R. Then The Beast again. Smiley

Grats pody and all.

Bad luck to the discoed and crashed. Too bad MJ, after your performanse here I expected us to to make some team points. Sad

P.S. Press "TAB", Matt... Wink

Me TT? what does tab do? I don't usually run with lights on even at night unless I absolutely have to
if that's what you mean, I find it hard to see the braking areas with the headlights on.

No big deal, "TAB" shows you who are the drivers and their positons. I tried to lap you and was in a hurry to get by with that big yellow wasp API behind. Cheesy
You're right about lights, was tempted to drive with lights off, especially at T4 entrance. Undecided
