In case you have been away from GTL, there have been GTL lobby problems. But.... it's all fixed now!

This is what you do to connect to the server:

1) Download & run this HOSTS HACK
2) Start GTL & select to the lobby
3) Register a new lobby account (I suggest the same name but with a blank email & password)
4) Log in with your new account & you should see a list of servers

euro

If this fix has not worked for you, then please check out this thread for more info/questions: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=6869.msg119486#msg119486

But most importantly, do not suffer in silence (also, don't leave it till the Monday night Wink).

All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (40 mins)
Qualifying: 20:00 (40 mins)
Race: 20:40 (6 laps = ~60mins)

Track: Nordschleife VLN download this
Cars allowed: BMW 320i Download this, BMW CSL, Ford Capri RS 3100, Ford Escort RS 2000, Porsche 911 RSR, Porsche 914-6. This race will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0 and the Season 10 Skin Pack which will need to be installed prior to racing.

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: 2x
Fuel consumption: 2x

Server: UKGTL GGTC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: You may cut the outlap during Qualifying. During the race the pit entrance is on the right as you enter the GP circuit. Ignore the cones.

If you intend to race please download both skinpacks and install the BMW 320i even if you don't intend to drive it.

Big poo. Was doing my usual "slow and carefull" on the 1st lap when I went a little too fast into a corner - into armco- dead engine - Game over.

Excellent race. Smiley

Nice fight with GT and Henry who did not want to give up their positions at all. Grin

I lost it at one point from driving too close to GT and not seeing the corner. Roll Eyes

I tried to take advantage of some pit lane chaos and in so doing earned my self a stop and go for speeding in the pit lane. Sad

Sorry for leaving and chatting while people where still racing. Sad I did not stop to think that the race could last for another 8 mins or so. Embarrassed

I will try to attend some more GTL. angel

Nords has always ended in tears for me, so a 4th was much more than I could have hoped for tonight. Had a great battle with H@L and Henry with even Paulo getting in on the act after his sloooooooooow pitstop Grin Henry and I must have swapped places 3 or 4 times as we ran within a couple of seconds of each other up until the start of lap 6 when I fluffed my braking into T1  Hit with a wet fish

Highlight of my night was Henry drafting past me on the straight and then me drafting and repassing him before the end. Gotta love the bricklike aerodynamics of these beemers  Cheesy

Edit: Oh and big congrats to Navin btw......forgot you were with us.....never saw you all race Cheesy
